Six word Saturday

A hope for peace and harmony

Each morning the beauty of the sky greets us

Each morning, the beauty of the sky awaits us

Unasked, the flowers turn their faces up to us

Unasked, the flowers turn their faces up

With all their shy beauty

With all their shy beauty

Flamboyance

Flamboyance

And delicacy

And delicacy

Each year they awaken and delight

Each year they awaken, to delight

Peeping out of their pots

Peeping out of their flowerpots

Or maybe we've brought them inside to enjoy

Or maybe we’ve brought some inside, to enjoy

Before the sun sets

Before the sun sets

With maybe just a hint of rain

With, maybe, just a hint of rain

And drains the colour from our world

Before the colour drains from our world

It is so simple, isn’t it?  So beautiful.

My wish for you at Easter is peace and love, with not too many raindrops. (and certainly no more snow for my Stateside friends!)

I almost forgot to link to Cate at Show My Face.  Even on Easter Saturday you can still share your six words.  Happy Easter!

    1. I think you mean the little lemon coloured rhododendron, Ad? It doesn’t last long but it just started to open up this weekend. Hope you’re having a lovely family time 🙂

      1. Thought you might mean that one, Ad. Wait till I ask the oracle. I forget their names but it’s very pretty 🙂
Sanguinairium! I had Ranunculus in my head but knew it wasn’t right. Phew! Pressure’s off 🙂

  2. Such beautiful photos. They certainly suggest a sense of tranquillity and peace – a wish I always have for our world filled with so much anger and restlessness.

    1. This restless person smiled at your comment, Colline 🙂 I’m always more peaceful when the sun shines. Shame it doesn’t seem to affect everyone that way. Have a lovely time with your family.

  3. Beautiful, Jo! Happy Easter to you and your family. We have heavy rain this Saturday before Easter, but hope to clear out by tomorrow. If not, I’ll just look at your lovely photos again. 🙂

    1. Aw, thanks, Jill 🙂 We’ve had a heap of sunshine these 2 days but I think the rain’s set to get us tomorrow. No worries. I’ll still smile. Happy Easter, hon.
