An ode to the turning tide
Lapping the shore, gently
A mantle of lace
Cloaking my shoulders in peace
My happy place, even when I’m sad. Share Six Words this Saturday? And have a great weekend!

Ernst

Everyone is sad sometimes, Jo, so it’s good to have a place to ease that sadness. The tops of the waves really do look lacy. So pretty. Hope your Saturday’s been one filled with smiles and love.

Yes, of course, Janet. It’s part of life and I don’t have any more than my share of sadness. Being beside water is my happy place. Thanks darlin. It’s been a great week 🤗💕

Sorry to read you’re sad, Jo, but those images are lovely. And, to see the waves in person and be a part of this beautiful environment hopefully lifts the spirit. Have a great weekend!

Not always sad, by any means, Liesbet. This is an easy place to be happy. 😊💕 Thanks darlin!

Love the 6 and the photos. My Beloved Sandra’s far more beachy than I will ever be. We alternate vacation venues; One year the beach, net year the mountains.

Just how I feel when I’m on a beach on a very early summer morning and I have it all to myself. It does look like lace, especially in the second shot 🙂

Lovely image and matching words, Jo. Hope you enjoy your weekend but from the sounds of it above, you are set to have quite a good time. I’m off to a garden centre today to see what’s available for the winter. I know it will only be pansies and dwarf cyclamen but it’s an excuse for an afternoon out. And to spend some money.

I love both pansies and dwarf cyclamen, Mari. Feet up now as it’s very sultry this afternoon. 😅😅 Thanks darlin! 💕

T’ai chi followed by coffee with a friend is a good start, Margaret. Then shopping because the fridge is empty, and a night out in aid of the fire service . Probably rounded off with some US Open tennis 🙂 🙂 And you?

Erm. Not much today, but a good long yomp tomorrow with friends, before The Rule of Six kicks in. Tennis is a Wimbledon-only pursuit with me.

Good women’s semis and the Thiem match was excellent, not so much the Zverev one. Do you watch them live or on replay? We were watching live last night but had to go to bed before the 3rd set as it was very late! Or early! Hope Azarenka wins and Thiem 🎾

It depends if I get involved. I knew Carrena Busta had had it after the 4th and went to bed, recording Thiem but was up early and saw most of the match with Medvedev. Didn’t he earn that win? 🤗🎾💕
