The message is ‘stay at home!’
A glorious, but empty, sight. Though, to be fair, it’s pouring again today. And there was me, getting ready to sing on the balcony! No, we haven’t reached lockdown yet, but our President is trying his best to contain the beast with State of Emergency measures. We can only respect that.
Meanwhile, Debbie is making the earth move. In Six Words. Join me for another walk on Monday and some virtual fresh air.

beautiful! stay safe dear Jo! 🙂

I have country tracks close by, Alice. Hopefully it won’t come to that here, but who knows? 😦 😦 Stay safe, too!

Beautiful beach! I don’t have a balcony to sing on, fortunately for the neighbours.

We say stay at home, thats the easy part but if we are used to out doors how do we stop ourselves going for the gorgeous walk. we try and stay away from others but not always easy.. 😉

It’s not too difficult for me to access country tracks and lanes, Lisa. We are not in lockdown just yet, but being very cautious, and the streets are very quiet. Take good care, hon! 🙂 🙂

I figure I’m still safe to go out and run. Especially if I can find a strip of coast like that one.
Look after yourself, Jo. If you do sing on your balcony I want video evidence. 😀

Stay at home, indeed. We are still allowed walks away from everyone else, which is my plan once my food delivery arrives. Sadly, I think official lockdown will be required to make many people sensible. And the more we let it spread the longer this will go on for.
At least we all have lots of virtual friends on our blogs and life here goes on as normal 🙂
Take care! X

I lose half a day keeping up with everyone (but I did get the kitchen and bathroom floors washed this morning). Sun’s just peeped out again. I’m off! 🤣☔💦💕

I lost most of my day keeping up, so no time for blogging today!

Surely you can walk on that lovely beach as long as you keep your distance? Saying that, the OH is sticking with local walks. It’s all very frustrating and I have to wonder what is going on. We’ve had flu pandemics that have killed many thousands, but nothing like this total world shutdown. It’s going to be hard for all the restless folk 😕

I’m not sure, Jude. We are supposed to stick to our own vicinity for short walks for exercise. The Ilha is only reachable by ferry. I’m sitting on the roof top looking out there now as the clouds gather. It’s a beautiful sight but a little frustrating. Going to chance the back lanes if we get a dry spell later. Wish me luck 🤗☔💦💕

I’m good, thanks 🙂 🙂 Not sure if we’re allowed to visit the beaches at the minute, which is rather tragic. 😦

I popped out yesterday for a walk around the park we have near us – I have never seen so many people out and about in it!! It’s lovely and sunny so everyone is taking the opportunity to get out and get some fresh air!!

Mostly, it did seem that people were walking or sitting just that little bit further apart than they would normally!! I expect to see the same today as it’s another lovely day!

It absolutely is, Pauline. A bit like wearing a straitjacket at times but I can cope. Mince and dumplings for supper cheers Mick up. And the bakeries are still open 😁😁😁🥧🍰🍩💕

A great view, which maybe you can enjoy tomorrow. Let’s keep walking – alone – while we can. That’s what I’m planning today. Just me and a few returning migrant birds. ‘Stay safe’ is getting a bit hackneyed, but what else can we hope for? Stay safe! x
