Help me to pick a word?
I think Debbie might have accused me of being too wordy this week, but I don’t mind because the lady produces incredible images, day after day. Someone else who produces very special images is Paula. I haven’t had time for Thursday’s Special – until today.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Serene – fills my soul. What a beautiful day at the shore Jo. Love it ~

Here’s another word – Wow! These blue skies are divine. My favourite has to be the first. I love how the horizon is almost not there and that pink blush is beautiful. Happy weekend, Jo.

I can always go to my Algarve photos when I want something a bit special, Carol. I love that one for the same reasons. The haze on the water was spellbinding. 🙂 🙂

Beautiful photos, Jo, especially that last one with the blue building.

That’s in Silves, Cathy. I think we may have been there with you? The building is a little dilapidated now, and has a for sale sign up. 🙂 🙂 Thanks, darlin!

Yes, Jo, you did take me there. I do remember it fondly. 🙂
I’ve started plotting out our Portugal trip. I know Mike wants to see Lisbon and Sintra, and I want to see Porto, but we have a few more days we can fill. Of these towns, which would you recommend in the north: Coimbra, The Beiras, Obidos? Or do you have any other recommendations?

I’ve not been to Coimbra but I would love to. Obidos is small but lovely.

As always, beautiful shots, Jo. I think one might add “serene” to that first one. I had to look up Canicular and, apparently, it means small dog. Is that what you intended? Have a fantastic weekend yourself. Can’t beat the weather. 🙂

It refers to the lazy dog days of Summer, Liesbet, and the words are Paula’s choice. Just my interpretation xx

A fine interpretation, Jo. Each one perfect for the job. Love the lab!

I started with an entirely different splash but I knew Paula would like this one. It’ll keep for another day. More sweltering Tish? X

Hotter than yesterday. Had to bring the young brassica plants indoors and wash them! Fending off heat and cabbage white butterflies which have just exploded all over the rapeseed field. Phew.

I’ve just settled in to watch the tennis, Tish. Hoping Rafa gets through most of his match before Mick commandeers telly for the football. 🙂

Love the word ‘canicular’, but my favourite photo is of course that of the feathered variety. Nice shades of summer blues, Jo. 🙂 xx

I’d never heard of the word, Ad, but I hope the photo does it. Pure blue here in the north east too xx

I have to pick canicular because that boat looks like just Amandla and it made me so happy to think of someday being at anchor in the waters near you. My second favorite was feathers because those birds have got it all going on. Hugs from Madagascar

Golfing weather indeed but I don’t golf at weekends, I think it is only fair to leave the course free for the poor people who have to go to work. No sun this afternoon it is inside football TV weather!
