A hint of blue should do!
Most of the UK will have their share of blueness this weekend. I’m just contributing a little more. It was actually a cool, damp day in the Algarve when I wandered into the museum and church of Igreja da Misericordia de Tavira. I had the place entirely to myself and spent a very pleasant hour browsing. I’d say that the pretty blue ceramic tiles, azulejos, are Prolific in Portugal, wouldn’t you?
Enjoy whatever blue skies and sunshine come your way, but don’t forget to share Six Words with Debbie. You may be bamboozled!
So pretty. And how wonderful to be able to wander about on your own. Nobody seems to do decoration quite like the Portuguese.

I was just about to pop over and see what I’d been missing. :):) I’m in the throes of organising a brief trip to Poland before we finally sell our UK home and move to the Algarve. 🙂 Stay well, Heather!

Definitely prolific with the blue tiles, Jo! 😀 Lucky you to have the whole church to yourself … it seems to be bathed in blueness and looks wonderfully serene!

It was a damp day, Annika. I’d left Mick at home and was having a bit of a mooch so I was delighted to find the museum entrance to the church. Normally I’d only been there for a concert. 🙂 🙂

Ahh I have photos of every scene, but didn’t take in the stories they told, too prolific for my brain cells! I went up the stairs too, and that was the church where I saw the Fado. Hope you’ve had a good weekend sweetheart, my 6 year old grandson was christened yesterday, so a busy one and I’m all behind x:-)x

Mornin, darlin 🙂 🙂 Family occasions are special, Gilly. The blogs will wait, won’t they? I’ve seen Fado and concerts in the Misericordia too but it was nice to have the place to myself. Have a great week!

Such a fabulous church. They were letting everyone in via the side entrance when we were last there so you got to church from those little steps at the back!

I wandered in almost by accident, off Liberdade, not realising it led to the church. Interesting to see the Salon upstairs too. 🙂 🙂

Brilliant way in ☺️ do you know if it is now permanent or just a weather solution?

I think it’s permanent, and a way to include the ‘museum’ for a small fee. 🙂
