An escape from all the madness
So many images I’ve yet to share with you from my April trip to Tavira! I’m returning, for another week, on Wednesday. Beautiful though Britain is, I can’t pretend it won’t be a relief to escape for a little while. Even grey days over there are greeted with a sunny smile and a wave.
It will be hot, so there won’t be much walking, but almost certainly a little toe dabbling, and lazily watching clouds gather on the horizon.
Early mornings and long warm evenings will be the best times, when I can look out on the world at peace, or enjoy a little quiet companionship.
I will still be walking with you on Monday, but I haven’t decided where yet. Then I’ll quietly disappear. Maybe it will all make sense when I return.
Do enjoy your weekend. I’m off to zumba, as soon as I’ve checked in on Cate. Share your six words?

A new life to be happy.

Zumba and then a visit to Portugal – those are things that do make sense. Happy travels.

Thank goodness! I’m trying to watch Wimbledon but the covers are on and off the courts every few minutes 😦 And it’s blowing a hooligan here so even the garden isn’t a good prospect. Roll on Wednesday 🙂 🙂

Madness indeed! Just when I think I have a handle on it all, something else happens. The U.K. seems to have neither a government nor an opposition at the moment. Anyway, your lovely pictures – especially the blue skies and the gorgeous flowers – have brightened me up.

Lovely photos – I wish I was there! Enjoy your trip – even if it is a bit hot, it should be sunny and cheerful which is always a tonic. 🙂

I must have missed some news – I was just thinking this morning that he hadn’t been shown, or mentioned, on the coverage yet. Is he injured?

Gorgeous photos Jo! They brighten up the weekend 🙂 Yes sounds a good plan to escape to the Algarve for a while – strange times indeed 😦 I may have to be on a plane the other way soon – my mum is not at all well at present. Have been in this situation before so it could go either way – not easy being the other side of the world at times like these! Still do love winters here although it is rather crisp and cold (we got down to 2.9 the other night) – the wood fire is roaring and we have an nice bottle of wine on the go! Have a lovely weekend and a great time in the Algarve X 🙂

Zumba, sounds awesome! Jo, don’t vanish for a long time, so what can we do without you! Happy weekend for you! Pictures are so nice especially if to consider that here is so hot I would love to dive into some water!

It’s not my favourite time of year in the Algarve, Ann, because it can get too hot, but the beach is always beautiful. 🙂

I know I do- they were waving at me 🙂 I’ve just never heard it called that. Jude, seriously? I have no sense of balance whatsoever. Walking down the street without tripping over the paving is a challenge. Can I just sit on? 🙂

Okay. Maybe a kayak then? Apparently there are sit on ones!

I can just about manage that. I doubt you’ll get photographic evidence though 🙂

Not wishing to disillusion you, Andrew, but that cafe is a rip off 😦 A pretty one! We were upset to find, on our last visit, that our favourite port place, Anazu, was closed and may not re-open. We’ve gone there ever since we first visited Tavira. These new guys are extremely expensive. Sign of the times, I suppose. Plenty of other places. Thank you! 🙂
