Alice in… Saltburn-by-the-Sea
I could have chosen a better day to visit Saltburn, but the sun was shining when I left home. At least I didn’t have to elbow my way through the crowds, but the wind had Alice and her friends bobbing about a bit! Still good fun, though. See how many characters you can recognise?
Don’t forget to click on the smaller photos for details!
I had such fun playing with these guys! Each year Saltburn comes up trumps with its yarn bombing, whatever the weather. I hope you enjoyed it too. Thanks to Elaine for reminding me, because I almost forgot.
Have a happy weekend, won’t you, and don’t forget to pop in on Cate at Show My Face with your ‘six’ words. See you Monday!

Oh, I can see why you look forward to this little outing. What fun these are! Amazing dedication to craft these!

I do get some funny looks as I creep about on the pier, but I love all the little characters. 🙂

Aren’t they fun? I love the Cheshire Cat, do they do similar every year?

They arrive some time in May, Gilly, and then are there all summer. We had torrential rain yesterday morning before I went to see them, but they looked none the worse for wear. 🙂

They are fabulous! The detail is so wonderful, and the knitters must have such patience to make the characters. I am in awe.

I absolutely love this, and it gets to the heart of me because even now I have a couple of soft toys in the shape of frogs and ducks from whom I take valuable marketing advice. The nod of a head, however it is constructed, can sometimes convey more than a thousand words 🙂

I can think of no-one better from whom to seek marketing advice, Peter. Love a duck, as the saying goes 🙂

Knit them? Perhaps if I didn’t spend so much time on the blog! 🙂 🙂 Many thanks for the Reblog! It’s a yearly event at a little town not too far from me. I always like to pop along for a look. Glad you like my Saturday morning bit of fun 🙂

I love it. 😀 Wow! I love small town fests and traditions. They are so fun and creative.
Thank you for sharing about this. This post was amazing. 🙂
And that is okay…. You knit words here. Words or wool….doesn’t matter. It’s the expression that counts. 😉
Cheers!

I too hate the new look Reader, but noticed today that if you click on the link symbol at the bottom (it says visit) you go directly to the site. I do wish they wouldn’t play about with things before they work properly. 😦
