Alice in…  Saltburn-by-the-Sea

Hanging about on Saltburn pier

Just hanging about on Saltburn pier!

I could have chosen a better day to visit Saltburn, but the sun was shining when I left home.  At least I didn’t have to elbow my way through the crowds, but the wind had Alice and her friends bobbing about a bit!  Still good fun, though.  See how many characters you can recognise?

Of course, there was tea!

Even a slice of Battenberg!

But at least there's plenty of time!

Don’t forget to click on the smaller photos for details!

Surely not?

Are you talking to me?

Are you talking to me?

I might be!

I’m feeling just a little cross!

It'll end in tears!

It’ll end in tears!

I had such fun playing with these guys!  Each year Saltburn comes up trumps with its yarn bombing, whatever the weather.  I hope you enjoyed it too.  Thanks to Elaine for reminding me, because I almost forgot.

Have a happy weekend, won’t you, and don’t forget to pop in on Cate at Show My Face with your ‘six’ words.  See you Monday!

  1. Lovely and brilliant. The attention to detail is astonishing. How nice to share with everyone in the community. I couldn’t possibly pick a favourite. A friend shared your post with me today because I was talking about Knitfiti (grafitti for knitters) at my blog. So happy she did 😀 Cheers from Boomdee

  2. Happy to meet your whimsical new yarn buddies Jo. The curios goose who ‘doesn’t want to miss anything’ is my favourite, because she reminds me of you 🙂

  3. Absolutely adorable, what more can I say? 🙂 I could look at these all day…and so glad I’m here at last catching up with you dear Jo 🙂 This week is crammed with appointments, my head is spinning 😮

    1. Slow down, hon! I’m not going anywhere. 🙂 Hope they are ‘good news’ appointments. I’ve meant to pop over to yours and not made it yet so we’re squits 🙂

      1. Haha…that’s good to know! You know I’ll always get here or anywhere one way or another! And yes, all good thanks Jo, just time consuming and things to take care of, but not complaining 🙂

  4. Yarn bombing! Now there’s something I’ve not only never experienced, I’ve never heard of it! Quite delightful, Jo. I love the Cheshire Cat. 🙂 What a fun destination, even with the not so great weather!

    1. It’s funny where these terms spring from, isn’t it, Debbie? I can remember thinking what???? when I first saw it. But I love tree wrapping with knitting and other such whimsy. It gladdens my heart. 🙂

  5. What a joy to admire these characters! The Battenburg looks nice (I love that cake!). It’s amazing the details the creators have gone into to make these stories come alive.
