My gallery this morning is to say a big thank you to all of you who keep appearing in my Comments, whether it rains or shines. And also to apologise to the many others who sit patiently in my Inbox, awaiting a turn. Blame it on the Summer or Wimbledon, I’m not sure which, but I just can’t manage to keep up at the minute.  Hoping normal service will be resumed at close of play.

As I walked through the park this morning it struck me that flowers are, for me, so often a symbol of friendship, and so I’m adding this post to the Weekly Photo Challenge.  Why not?

  6. Wimbledon is addictive, isn’t it? Hours seem to just disappear and all I meant was just to check in on things. Anyway, love how you paired these flowers with your friends……a lovely gesture!

  7. Keeping up is my problem, too and I’m not at Wimbledon. What an unexpected and sweet honor to be growing in such a prestigious garden, Jo. Your posts are always a treat to read. 4 grandchildren and their parents pop in today for a few days, so I will off line for the time being. We’ll keep them busy at the beach and fishing. 🐠

  10. What a wonderful tribute to your friends. Beautiful flowers. So perfectly snapped I can almost smell them here. Enjoy Wimbledon Miss watching tennis – my favorite was watching Andy Murray win the US Open in 2012…!

    1. Thanks, Rosemay 🙂 It’s Mick’s birthday today so I’m up early and blogging as usual. Nothing planned- he likes a home-cooked Sunday dinner and then we’ll watch Federer in hopes. I may sneak into the garden for a while when he and our son watch cricket. 🙂

    1. Not as glued as I would be if Rafa hadn’t gone out in the first week, Cathy! 😦 It’s always a toss-up (ha! ha!) between watching and being outdoors when the weather’s good. You’re welcome, hon. Have you started packing yet, or is some of it already shipped? Counting down for sure 🙂 🙂 🙂

  14. What a lovely post, Jo. I agree that flowers are a great symbol of friendship. A few years back, I read a novel titled The Language of Flowers about a florist who makes flower arrangements based on the recipient’s personality. Interesting read!
    One more day for Wimbledon! 🙂

      When you set up a gallery in WordPress it gives you an option to describe each photo. Are you new to WP? It’s very easy if you just load your photo and then select ‘create gallery’.
