I’m usually homeward bound by dusk, but Paula’s theme for this week requires that I loiter. This once, I didn’t mind. Have a look at Thursday’ Special. I think you’ll find that it is!

Jo, I like the one through the window – there’s a novella in that one (if only I could write fiction!)

It seems to have caught a lot of imaginations, Sammy. I was pleased at how well it turned out because it was an ‘impulse’ shot 🙂

Look at the results for loitering. Beautiful captures. Being at the right place at the right time. Sounds like you had a lovely day even if you were a tad late getting home.

I did, Lynne! It was unplanned because I should have been out with the Nordic walkers but didn’t go. Later in the day the weather was fantastic (though cold) and I just couldn’t avoid being restless 🙂 🙂

I was ‘saved’ by a couple of friends, who gave me a lift home, Colline, so it really was worth my lingering 🙂

I’d better retire from photography now, Jill- while my good name is still intact 🙂 I’ve been quite lucky so far 🙂 🙂 Thanks, hon- have a wonderful weekend!

I love the way you caption. And you’d also pinpointed one of the good things about blogging challenges: they inspire, in this case loitering!

I’m much too impatient to loiter, generally, Meg, but I suppose I had Paula’s challenge in the back of my mind. I’d done a lot of walking and was collapsed in Mary Rowntree’s, a rather nice cafe, where I just happened to meet some friends who gave me a lift home 🙂 A good result, all round 🙂

OMG, you actually went out and waited for dusk for TS? I have never seen such a devotion in any challenge 🙂 I am touched Jo, and the beauty of these captures are your award. THANK YOU for this 🙂 I am humble before these views.

I posted earlier today something that had been in my mind all week, Paula. But it turned into a superb day and you know I hate to be indoors. I walked too far and will be sore tomorrow I think, but it was beautiful at the beach. And I ended up at the Headland and shared a drink with a couple of friends that I had not expected to see. So it was a good day 🙂

And you will not hate TS or me tomorrow when you are sore? If you do, have a drink on me 😉

It’s nice to know we’ve been watching the same sun set each day albeit in different continents and at different times. Lovely pics Jo especially like the shot through the window 🙂

I don’t think every day has a dusk … to everybody. (another crazy thought…lol) It is more of a feeling, a longing, a fleeting moment. It doesn’t linger. One doesn’t call one’s friend/partner and say “OH, look at this dusk.” It is an intimate moment shared with nature.
One shares sunsets, “OH, look at this sunset.” 🙂

Yes- that’s a little of what I’m afraid of. This is a sunset technically, isn’t it? 🙂

I came back and took another look. lol Sorry, I don’t share my intimate moments with anyone. But I did feel a nice glow, so the picture is definitely DUSK. 🙂

It’s lovely over on the Headland, Gilly, but I’d walked for miles this afternoon and was too tired to linger and enjoy it. 🙂
