A dusky beauty

The sun descends- is this dusk?

The sun descends- is this dusk?

I wait!

I wait!

That's the one!

Perhaps this is the one?

I’m usually homeward bound by dusk, but Paula’s theme for this week requires that I loiter.  This once, I didn’t mind.  Have a look at Thursday’ Special.  I think you’ll find that it is!

    1. I did, Lynne! It was unplanned because I should have been out with the Nordic walkers but didn’t go. Later in the day the weather was fantastic (though cold) and I just couldn’t avoid being restless 🙂 🙂

    1. I’m much too impatient to loiter, generally, Meg, but I suppose I had Paula’s challenge in the back of my mind. I’d done a lot of walking and was collapsed in Mary Rowntree’s, a rather nice cafe, where I just happened to meet some friends who gave me a lift home 🙂 A good result, all round 🙂

  1. OMG, you actually went out and waited for dusk for TS? I have never seen such a devotion in any challenge 🙂 I am touched Jo, and the beauty of these captures are your award. THANK YOU for this 🙂 I am humble before these views.

    1. I posted earlier today something that had been in my mind all week, Paula. But it turned into a superb day and you know I hate to be indoors. I walked too far and will be sore tomorrow I think, but it was beautiful at the beach. And I ended up at the Headland and shared a drink with a couple of friends that I had not expected to see. So it was a good day 🙂

    2. It’s nice to know we’ve been watching the same sun set each day albeit in different continents and at different times. Lovely pics Jo especially like the shot through the window 🙂

  2. I don’t think every day has a dusk … to everybody. (another crazy thought…lol) It is more of a feeling, a longing, a fleeting moment. It doesn’t linger. One doesn’t call one’s friend/partner and say “OH, look at this dusk.” It is an intimate moment shared with nature.
One shares sunsets, “OH, look at this sunset.” 🙂
