On top with Gaudi

For most of the time I was in Barcelona I was on top of the world!  Gaudi’s architecture far surpassed my expectations.  Could anything top this?  A world of pure fantasy.

From the second I saw the Weekly Photo Challenge, my head was full of Gaudi and the time I spent in Barcelona.  I reached some wonderful heights, culminating in the breathtaking Sagrada Familia. If you ever have the chance, do go.

Thanks for the memories!  On top was this week’s theme.  Don’t forget to visit.

    1. Hard to balance the umbrella and the camera 🙂 And it was a blue, blue day, totally unlike Glasgow. But I did feel an affinity between the two cities somehow. The roller coaster hills and sweeping views maybe.

    1. I waited a lot of years to make the trip, Dale, and I wasn’t the least bit disappointed. Gaudi was amazing but I fell in love the whole movement. Some fabulous sights if you click on Barcelona in my side bar. Hope you had a good Easter. 🙂

  1. Such beautiful architecture Jo and beautiful angles! The first photo of the rooftops made me think of meringue cookies as it looks so smooth and shiny – just like something you can eat and don’t ask me why I thought of that. This mind is sometimes a bit over the top. 😆
Gorgeous selection for the challenge. I don’t think anything can top these. 😀 ♥ Big Hugs ♥

  2. Fabulous! Barcelona is a place that I know I’ll visit! 100% sure about it. There’s always a lot of places that you see in blogs and you’re thinking that it’d be interesting to see them, but Barcelona is a city that I just know that I’ll have to see.
