For most of the time I was in Barcelona I was on top of the world! Gaudi’s architecture far surpassed my expectations. Could anything top this? A world of pure fantasy.
From the second I saw the Weekly Photo Challenge, my head was full of Gaudi and the time I spent in Barcelona. I reached some wonderful heights, culminating in the breathtaking Sagrada Familia. If you ever have the chance, do go.
Thanks for the memories! On top was this week’s theme. Don’t forget to visit.

Oh, I cannot WAIT to go to Barcelona some day. Your photos capture the whimsical nature of the place. Love!

Brought back lovely memories of a visit to Barca 9 years ago. Casa Batilla was my favourite Gaudi house – I loved the rooftop there. Great pics

Love Gaudi! Thanks for another “chim-chimeny” look at rooftops! I was expecting to see you with your umbrella in one of these photos. 😉

Hard to balance the umbrella and the camera 🙂 And it was a blue, blue day, totally unlike Glasgow. But I did feel an affinity between the two cities somehow. The roller coaster hills and sweeping views maybe.

The landscape of Scotland just seems to echo throughout the world. Someone once told me that the hills of northern Malawi in Africa reminded them of Scotland.

I waited a lot of years to make the trip, Dale, and I wasn’t the least bit disappointed. Gaudi was amazing but I fell in love the whole movement. Some fabulous sights if you click on Barcelona in my side bar. Hope you had a good Easter. 🙂

Such beautiful architecture Jo and beautiful angles! The first photo of the rooftops made me think of meringue cookies as it looks so smooth and shiny – just like something you can eat and don’t ask me why I thought of that. This mind is sometimes a bit over the top. 😆
Gorgeous selection for the challenge. I don’t think anything can top these. 😀 ♥ Big Hugs ♥
