How I like to display hellebores
They have such a pretty face, but they’re shy! I love to snip the heads off and float them on a bowl of water, then I can openly admire these jewels of colour. Especially when the weather is too cool and damp to venture into the garden. They grow quite prolifically so they should last me a while.

Jo, those are gorgeous … and beautifully displayed! We use that display technique with our winter camellias here in the South (USA). ~Terri

I picked some fresh ones today. Love camelias- one’s just starting to open in our conservatory.

That’s why I have them sitting on my hearth, Hilary- to remind myself. Thank you!

They’re starting to wilt a little, Dianne. I need to get the scissors out and snip some more, but it’s cold out there!

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen these. This is really beautiful. How lucky to be able to snip and bring indoors.

They are lovely, Jem. I guess I assumed people would know them. I should have taken a photo of them outdoors to show how they normally appear, but it was pouring yesterday when I posted this.

The hellebores are beautiful. I’m not acquainted with them at all, so it’s lovely to be introduced to them here.

They are very pretty, Rosemary. If only that warmer weather would hurry!
