“Peaceful, like heaven on a Sunday…” Anyone know this Paul MCartney song? I’ve been singing the opening line all day long, and have only just realised where it comes from. In the nick of time really, because I need to pull my post together for Jakesprinter’s theme of Peaceful for this week.
Sunday was indeed Peaceful this week. I scrolled back through my media gallery to select my photos for Jake, and this is the result. Did you notice that they all seem to contain water, and not too many people? My recipe for peace, I think.
Thanks Jake for supplying my Sunday fun.

Lovely shots – was that local photo Robin Hood’s Bay by any chance Jo?

A beautiful collection of peaceful photographs. There is something special about those seascapes. The colours. The open composition. The light. My favourite is the first one. I just love that lonesome kayaker and the gorgeous sky.

Thanks, Colline! I was having a few problems with the new format on photos but it certainly made it easy to select to a theme as I scrolled back. I need to play with it some more, but now’s not a good time.

Beautiful collection Jo! Where exactly do you live in the UK? Also… I often read posts using my iPhone but for some reason yours only cover half the page. I think there is a setting somewhere in WordPress that enables your posts to be formatted for cellphone/iPads as I remember doing it for mine. Perhaps it is just me but your lovely pictures appear very small on my screen and I don’t have this issue with other posts I read. 🙂

Thanks for this, Nicole. I don’t have an iPhone or iPad myself so didn’t think I needed to do anything with that setting, but now that you’ve pointed it out, it’s obvious that I do! I’m back in the dark ages sometimes. A few of my settings need looking at so I’ll attend to it immediately. Thanks again for pointing it out.
My churlish answer, looking out of the window this Monday morning, is “somewhere wet”, but that’s a little unfair. Yesterday was clear and bright. I’m on the north east coast, a little town called Hartlepool which features on my Home page. The local beach is lovely, and there’s a marina too. Take care, hon.

Thanks Jo! I will have to look it up on a map! I love my little phone as I have it with me and when I need to fill time, like during the kids activities, I catch up on my blog posts! 🙂 It is super convenient as they all go to a separate email account but it is much easier when I’m home on the big screen.

We have a little bubble fountain in the conservatory and I have to turn it off. It drives me crazy! But I can look at the sea, or a gurgling river, endlessly, Vicky.

I think the difference there is the sea or a river are totally varied with the sound, where a man made feature is very symmetrical.
My mum has an indoor water feature which drives me nuts too.
