Green is the backdrop to our world, right now, here in the Algarve. Winter rains have refreshed and revitalised the land and filled the reservoirs. It’s a joyful sight because our summer heat can be fierce, and by September everywhere looks parched.
A boost for tourism? Colours of the Portuguese flag Some washing for Andrew A ‘nora’, or well Indecision rules? Green algae on the salinas My watering can And my all green, curly plant
It’s Monday wash day again, but I’m living Life in Colour with Jude. Have a good week!
Yeah! Such lushness of green and definitely deserves to be celebrated! I love the selection, your curly plant leaves are so cute and I’m smiling at the caption to the colourful doors, yes, when uncertain try all the colours in stripes! 😀 Today I’m sitting in my new writing studio all cosy and snug listening to the rain – and imagining the plants rejoicing and waiting to grace us with the Spring colour!

I had a lovely solo walk this afternoon while Mick was doing some DIY. Just me and the camera. Pure luxury 🙂 🙂 Sounds like you’ll get lots of writing done. That is my downfall when the weather’s lovely. I need to be out!

Everywhere is green right now, Rosemay. Funny how these challenges heighten your awareness. I zoom in on everything green I see when I’m out and about at present 🙂 🙂

That’s such a lovely idea Jo 🙂 I noticed today that a beautiful yellow rose has just flowered again in its pot in the courtyard – made me very happy and it has a beautiful scent too! 🙂 🙂 Enjoy your walks and hopefully you can go a bit further again soon 🙂

It must have been an artist’s house? Or someone very indecisive 🙂 🙂

I LOVE anything green, Jo! Gorgeous greens indeed! When you have more green to share, I’m doing the Sunday Stills color challenge (spring green) in a couple of weeks. Hope you can join in then!

Hi Terri 🙂 🙂 I can’t remember what colour you’re doing this month? I’ll pop over and have a look.

It is spring green, Jo. Think of that new, fresh green we see on plants when the buds begin to leaf. Almost a lime green. Thanks!

Darn- I thought it was still white and took lots of shots on my walk this afternoon. 😦 They’ll keep! 🙂

It could be Houston! (Although after our terrible freeze a few weeks ago, some of the nice spring greenery died and is trying to come back.)

Much of northern Portugal is a lot greener than here but I do enjoy it while it lasts, Emma 🤗💕

Great selection of photos, Jo. The top scene is lovely. That riverbank would make a nice walk. Maybe the cement plant should donate the horse statue you posted to the equestrian tourism place. Much more fitting.

My husband and I love Quarteria, and we had hoped to move there. But, our children worried about us. We are so waiting for the virus to be contained, so we can go back to our wonderful Algarve. We visited Tavira, of course, and wow, this post made me so happy. Thank you.

It’s not an easy world to live in right now. I’m desperate to get back to the UK to see my youngsters but it’s on hold at present. Sending hugs 🙂 🙂

You’ve found some different objects to show ‘green’. It is difficult to move away from the beautiful green of the fields, the trees, leaves etc., but I’m sure I’ll find something – eventually. I think spring is finally here. Sshhh. Perhaps I shouldn’t mention it, but two days now with warmth and wall to wall sunshine. I even fed the camellias and azaleas yesterday as they were looking very dry through lack of rain. We’ve had so much that one forgets when it stops that pots dry out!
