Why does the river turn red?

Cistus and wild lavender Rock roses and red soil
Many people asked last week. Because the soil is naturally a rich red and washes down from the hills in heavy rain. All is beautiful up there right now. Have a good weekend, and don’t forget to visit Debbie at Six Word Saturday

What a gorgeous flower. Like paper!
When they cover the hillside it’s a fabulous sight, Kelly! They are just starting to bloom now. 🙂 🙂
Beautiful.
They are lovely, Rupali 🤗💕
Oh so clever to answer the previous week’s post with this week’s 6-word challenge Jo. Glad to see the sun shining in your world.
Thanks, Tina! It was just that we were up in the hills this week and the soil was looking wonderfully orange. And I can never resist a cistus 🙂 🙂
Had to go back to your red river post to remind myself Jo!
Thanks so much 🙂 🙂
They say you learn something new every day! Beautiful photos 🙂
Trying hard to remember what I learnt today. I seem to have forgotten it already! Oh, dear… 🙂 🙂
