This is where we started, isn’t it? Awestruck by the amazing spectacle that is Gaudi’s La Sagrada Familia. I can’t resist another couple of images.
But it would be wrong to stop there. Barcelona is so much more! A kaleidoscope of colour and interwoven parts. Come with me, one last time!
Dangle your feet by the waterfront Cross the wavy bridge Admire the yachts Gaze down from Montjuic Watch the fountains trickle Blow big bubbles Congregate in Placa de Catalunya Not the bridge of sighs! Catalan pride Art Deco Café culture Sacred Heart of Jesus The one I missed, captured at the airport!
Thanks, Becky, for being a wonderful hostess, and for letting me revisit Barcelona. I’d forgotten how magnificent it was.
#SquareUp (plus 3 oblongs) P.S. Did anyone see this from Andrew?
So wonderful!!

Lovely photos, Jo. I missed most as work has been very busy this month, but I hope to keep up my connections moving forward. 🙂

I realised you weren’t around much, Clare. This kind of blogging can become a fulltime job, if you let it. Nice to have your company 🙂 🙂

Thank you Jo. Dean and I have been really busy with work, but we’re over the hump now and things will be a little quieter over the next month at least. 😊

Is the final image (at the airport) a reflection of a fountain? or a painting? It looks spectacular!

A reflection of the fountains at Monjuic, floodlit at night, but only on certain evenings. In the winter it wasn’t possible to see them while I was there. My one disappointment 🙂 🙂

Oh dear, it is so disappointing when you are looking forward to seeing it. I hope you will be able to catch it the next time you travel there!

A shame you missed the fountains, they were amazing. But there is so much to see in Barcelona, you need much longer than a few days. And what an excellent theme you chose for the squares. I wonder what you’ll decide upon in April.

I already know but, of course, it depends on Becky. 🙂 🙂 Hopefully try a few different things in the meantime. Thanks, Jude!

I’ve never been to Spain so I’ve really enjoyed seeing Barcelona through your eyes Jo. My favourite of these just has to be that stained glass window, it’s stunning 🙂

It’s far from a typical Spanish city, Eunice, but it’s certainly one to see, if you ever get the chance. I love the stained glass too 🙂 🙂
