A masterpiece from Doménech i Montaner. Gaudi wasn’t the only genius at work in Barcelona. A tour of the building leaves you wanting to come back for a concert. Follow the link for more information.

Fabulous and your images do it full justice. How I wish I could go back soon to see it, but as soon as I can travel (bring it on, please) then Barcelona isn’t high up on my list much as I enjoy it. My mind aches for blue seas, sand, rocks, lovely old villages with winding streets, cafes and restaurants with red-checked tablecloths like downmarket Mafia haunts and welcoming people. Will it ever come back do you think? Meantime, I’ll feast on your pix and the link you kindly supplied.

Southern Italy then, Mari, or Sicily? That would be wonderful. I can’t say I’m in any hurry for Barcelona or any of the cities really, but the freedom to jaunt around Portugal a bit would be nice. Setting my sights low this year, and priority is family. 🤗💕💕

It’s beautiful, the gallery has some amazing captures Jo, are you planning to go inside and attend any concert? Wonder if there is any restriction to photography at this place.

I would have loved to attend a concert there but they we didn’t have chance in the 5 days we had. 😦

That Montaner fellow was a genius. The Hospital de Sant Pau is my favourite complex in all Barcelona. I visit every time I go.

That’s Jude’s favourite too, Margaret, and she has some great photos of it. It was still behind boards when I was there and an unexpected discovery for me. I managed a few shots but couldn’t do it justice. I would have loved a close up of those figures on the stage. Impossible to see the detail, and the acoustics are said to be superb. 🙂 🙂

So looking forward to seeing it. Taking the latest addition, obviously.

I think that your telling me about Jude’s photos was how I first got to ‘know’ her, and I’d just started following you too Jo, because of the Polish connection.

They certainly help. We heard today that our beaches have been closed again. So pointless! I posted on Instagram earlier this week a totally empty beach. Who am I going to infect? 😔💕

I had to struggle to get these images to look anything like the real thing, Madhu. I so wanted to go close to that stage for a close up, but we were shepherded along 😦 😦
