Wow! Jo, an iincredibly powerful image, full of grace, honour and pain! I love your angle for the photo and also the angles within the statues. Fascinating and very emotive.
Thanks, honey! I was just reading your comments to the ladies. It all sounds good, but one of the best things is being able to talk about it. Sending more hugs 🙂 🙂
I’d have to be on my laptop to be sure, Tina, and I’m on my phone but I think it was simply squared from the original. You could get quite close to some of the sculptures. 🤔💕💕 Can only get better hon. Flip back to 6 words. It’s much more cheerful 🤣🤣
A rather ‘downbeat’ picture from you today Jo. Not like your usual ones. I think you’d best go now and find some coffee and cake! Oh, hang on, it’s nearly lunchtime, so have a good lunch and follow it with cake. Like everyone here I’m isolating these days and obeying the instructions to not go out unless it’s absolutely necessary so I’m catching up on boring indoor jobs and this has tempted me to open my Christmas box of Cointreau truffles. Disaster.
I do have my downbeat moments, Mari, and actually he felt rather appropriate to a Sunday right now. We are curfewed from 1.00 lunchtime this weekend so we’ve already had a walk and a sandwich. Rounded off with our last mince pies, and custard. Got to be some consolations, don’t there? 🙂 🙂
Thanks, Frank 🙂 🙂 Funny but I don’t remember any great cake in Barcelona. Just been for a local walk here because we have curfew from 1.00 this weekend (trying to control the rise in numbers from the Christmas get togethers). Rewarded myself with mince pie and custard. Awfully nice!
I wasn’t keen on this side of the church, but it did feel extremely emotional. A good perspective here, and nicely square and brown. Mick feeling any better?
Nor me, really, but the sculpture is very emotive. 🙂 🙂 And brown! Just back from a walk through the lanes. Curfew from 1.00. He’s had a fish finger sarnie and we’ve got the last 2 mince pies, with custard, for afters.
One could spend years here just photographing this church…….it is a fabulous place! Are they near finished with the latest add ons? When we were there in 2018, I think, they thought they might be wrapping up, but I don’t know that they will ever be done…….It is an ongoing Masterpiece!
This is really expressive and there is so much to see in the sculpture – great picture Jo!

It’s strange the ones that leap out at you from among so many sculptures, Annika. All of the world’s pain in this one 🙂 🙂

I like the angle of the shot. Perfect photo for a Sunday. It would go well with one of those ‘you are all miserable sinners’ type sermons!

Wouldn’t it though? And the miserable sinners wouldn’t take a bit of notice 🤗💕💕

Wow Jo – love this one. Did you crop a larger image, or focus in on it from the get-go. Despair for mankind indeed. What a week 😩
