Looking out to a brighter horizon!
It has to get better, doesn’t it? The alternative is unthinkable. For me, the immediate future is wonderful. My long held wish to see my son again is about to come true. If things go to plan, he will be here tomorrow evening. It’ll come as no surprise that I won’t be walking with you on Monday? 🙂 Hopefully, the following week. Meanwhile, keep squaring those Perspectives and enjoy your Six Word Saturday!

So good to hear, Jo. Tx

Not in a hurry, from the look of things, Alice. I’m more worried about his job loss than the virus, but uncertainty seems to be the name of the game. Thanks, hon! 🤗💕

Money is more important than behaviour. I am staying home this year, I couldn’t face the airports or the flights.

We’re not even going away in England, or at least not for now. And my overseas trip was going to be Australia to visit my son, but that’s not going to happen any time soon. They are sensible enough to close even their state borders! And no way could I fly wearing a mask for that length of time. Going to have to wait for a vaccine or something.

I agree. I had booked a cruise for next year around the UK, thankfully it is cancelled now.

Apparently there’s another outbreak in Melbourne. It’s so hard to contain it in the cities. If James lived in a village he’d be better off. But still jobless 🤨💕

I think we are rushing into opening everything. Went to ASDA yesterday and although people were wearing masks they were also not socially distancing as much and quite a few kept fiddling with their mask, wore it below their nose, removed it to talk on the phone! What’s the bl**dy point!! I haven’t heard from R yet, but he had to reinterview for his role last week! What’s that all about? Sorry to hear about James, at least they won’t have to worry about childcare I guess, and hopefully jobs will return in a few months time.

It’s not all as neat and tidy as it should be here, but there has been consistency from the outset, and people are used to masks. I can’t get my head around those protesting idiots! Not that it’s done us any good in economic terms. Seems they’re closing Spain again. Maybe we’ll get their air corridor? 🙂 James was tested last week. They are a bit worried they could be bringing it with them, but we’re game. 🙂
LikeLike
Oh? Why was he tested? Symptoms? Hope he’s not running a temperature or he might not get on the plane!

He had a bit of a cough and was feeling rough, but much of that would be down to the job loss and circumstances. He was looking bright eyed again on Skype on Friday. Just having something to look forward to is a boost, Jude. But I won’t be sure they’re coming till 11 tonight. 🙂

If he hadn’t decided to come, Andrew, I would have chanced it, but from all that I hear it’s quite well organised here. Not surprisingly I can’t say the same for the UK. 🤨💕

Boris is clearly a believer in the theory of chaos. Next up Brexit again.

So, will they have to quarantine when they return?
LikeLike
At the moment, officially, yes but who knows in a week’s time? Lauren works from home and James is now out of work thanks to Boris and NHS cuts, so it won’t make much difference. Nobody wants to hang out in Leeds City Centre, Andrew. Just the idiots who protest about masks. 🤨

Stay safe my dear, and enjoy what you’ve longed for. Is he coming alone? I’m a tad jealous. I’m homesick for Warsaw, and those it holds. No chance of a reunion there.

Nor for me visiting Australia. To be honest I wish we’d do the same and close our borders. Far too many have died.

Thanks Meg. I probably owe you a message but it’s been a bit fraught lately. 🤨 No, all 3 are coming. They paid extra for insurance and Covid tests because this will be their only chance of escaping Leeds and the confinement of their flat this year. James is on 3 months notice from work and Lauren works from home so quarantine, if it happens, won’t be a serious issue. It’s Lauren’s birthday on Monday so it will be a bit of a special day. Take care, darlin. I’ll be in touch in a while 🤗💕💕
