Coffee, cake, his/hers- your choice?
I’ve spent a lot of time, just lately, up on the roof terrace. Sue prompted me to share a cup of coffee and a book. Debbie followed suit, with her usual flair. And in our house, well, a little cake seldom comes amiss… Why not join the party on Six Word Saturday!
Enticing scenes! The books, the coffee, the cake!! Pastel de nata – what a way to spend leisurely time….

Makes you wonder why we complain about ‘lockdown’ 🙂 🙂

You’ve been busy I see. Walking to the bakery and then up the steps to the roof terrace before hours of page turning are the perfect calorie burners!

Love those Portuguese tarts.. Yay less strict lockdown from tomorrow but still no restaurants.

We have another week before restaurants start up again. I think they need the time to work out how best to do it. Not easy unless you have outside seating. 😦

Coffee and cake on the roof terrace sounds idyllic Jo. We’d love to join you for a slice of choccy cake and a black coffee …

All out of chocolate cake, Jonno. It never lasts long with himself about 🙂 🙂 But I can rustle you up coffee and biscuits.

Your roof terrace looks a perfect spot for reading, coffee and cakes Jo and perhaps a glass of wine?! I think it would be an excellent location for aperitivos 🙂

Cheers, Rosemay! And it’s great exercise climbing all those stairs to get there 🙂 🙂

Stairs are great exercise Jo! I run up and down ours all the time! Only to go upstairs in my place not up to a roof terrace though! 🙂

I want to pull up a chair on your sunny rooftop and join you for a yummy tart and coffee. Is the book The Piano Teacher good? I am adding to my passage making library.

I enjoyed it, Lisa. A while since I read it and it’s still on the shelf for a second read one day. 🙂 🙂 Wine time now. Is that ok?

That looks like my all time favourite Pastel de Nata! There’s nothing more divine on Planet Earth than freshly baked Portugese egg tarts ♥️
