Which one makes the better square?
There’s a cycle path from Tavira to neighbouring Cabanas, and this bridge spans the narrow River Almargem along the way. It struck me as perfect, in the original, for Jude’s #2020PhotoChallenge on converging lines. But it works as squares too, don’t you think? Up and over the Top! We’ll be passing this way on my Monday walk. Meanwhile, have you got Six Words to shed a little light for Debbie?

both awesome shots but i like the first one better! the beauty of the clouds is irresistible. thanks, Jo! 🙂

For leading lines, definitely the second one. The lines are more pronounced. But I prefer you first ones. The bridge pulls me into the clouds which are so interesting.

I feel much the same, Cee, and thank you very much for your comment. The original photo is a longer version of the second 🙂 🙂 Hope all is well with you and Chris?

Hi Jo !
I rather like the perspective of the second picture .. the sense of climbing onwards and upwards 😉

Thanks, Poppy 🙂 🙂 It’s a special day in Portugal today- celebration of the Carnation Revolution and the end of Salazar’s dictatorship. I’ve never seen it quieter.

They are both square aren’t they? I’d like to see the original photo. Both of them have the converging lines, but I prefer the first example. Thanks for joining me!

They are! I’ll probably include the original on Monday, but I actually prefer these. 🙂 🙂

True 🙂 🙂 I was just watching the 25 de Abril ‘celebrations’ from Lisbon and Porto on TV. Silent as the grave around here. I was all set to sing! 😦

I like the first one best too. But then the one where the footbridge features does give you a sense of being on the bridge. Interesting stuff – visual perception. Happy weekend, Jo.

I probably should have included the full photo for contrast, but I didn’t really like it that much. Yes, definitely, a strange thing, perception. Onions, shallots, cabbage, Tish? 🙂 🙂

I will pick the first image. The clouds, while not square, make the image more pleasant to the eye.

Lisa, Maggie, and I are doing well. We have been working from home since the shelter in place started a month ago in the counties around the S.F. Bay. I’m the home office coffee and tea expert. Maggie is happy to have us around all the time. Thanks for checking in on us. Are you doing well too?

I understand that feeling. I was planning to visit my daughter last weekend. She is now busy tracking, education, etc., with everything Covid-19 related in her new country health department job.
