What can I tell you?
Whisper it very softly
Watch her like a hawk!
She doesn’t mean any harm
Don’t cry fish! It’s not so bad.
I always find fascination in the National Glass Centre at Sunderland. Sometimes I can find Juxtaposition too. But today I wanted something to please my Lazy Poet friend, Gilly. She’s been sad lately.

Beautiful art and your photographs are crystal clear! Sorry about your friend, hope she is feeling better.

I love the glass centre with a passion, Elisa. Almost as much as i love Rafa, who I’m about to watch play at Monte Carlo. No, sadly I’m not there 🙂 🙂

RAFA!!!! I ALMOST drove to Miami for the final against Federer. The 13 hour drive was just too daunting, and alas, he lost handily. Just as well I didn’t go – not that I don’t like Fed – my heart will always be with our Spaniard. I am sending him POSITIVE ENERGY right NOW!!! 🙂

Good lass! He’s playing one of the young guns, Zverev, and it’s going to be tough. I watched the Miami final with my tennis loving friend in the Algarve but I was pretty sure Fed would win. 😦

He has so many people pulling for him, I hope he can harness the energy. Maybe Moya can get him back on track. It’s funny, he was so invincible and now he almost looks lost out there sometimes. Whatever happens, I hope he remains an ambassador for the sport, the world needs good people like him out there as a role model. He is the MAN! (I almost teared up writing that!)

Beautiful art and not that expensive. I suppose they are Euros?

No, pounds, but still very cheap for the quality of the work. I was seriously tempted but it was just after Christmas when we were last there. 🙂

Beautiful glass, and i like how the light shines right through them. I get the impression that they are floating in the air 🙂 Hope your friend feels better soon 🙂

Thanks for the kind thought, Mabel. The glass centre is right alongside the docks so it makes an interesting backdrop. 🙂

Wow! I’d never heard of this place, what a delight. I love glass, my house is full of it, from Murano to Swedish.

My mother used to collect it and had a china cabinet full of glass bells and such. I love it too. 🙂 I’ve featured the National Glass Centre a time or two. It’s just past the marina. I meant to put a link in but forgot. Nice Wearside coffee shop too. 🙂

Wow, Jo!! These are stunning…I love glass sculptures of the normal size but these are outstanding! They all have such wondrous colour and mystery, particularly the first one. I do hope this has helped cheer up your friend, Gilly. ❤️
