Pounding in to shore,
Wind whipping, shaping the waves.
Power, meet beauty!
Paula must have known that she was tempting me with this week’s theme. The weather played its part beautifully. I know that there are finer seascapes, but this one is mine- my north east of England coast.
Now, please go and be spellbound at Thursday’s Special.

Difficult to choose, really.
The last photo portrays what “I” need at the moment!
Infinity, I would call it…

It’s a long beach and you can always find that quiet stretch, Anna. Maybe bring a coat though 🙂 🙂

It’s muggy, and too hot. Have I mentioned that it’s muggy?

Not at all. I assumed it was a political reference. Even more sorry for you than I am for us 😦

Oh Gosh don’t get me started. Every time I read or watch the news I feel filthy and disgusted. What an election shame we present to the rest of the world.

It was a fabulous day, Jill! Those clouds bubbled up and drifted away. Back with a vengeance and lots of rain this morning but it was wonderful while it lasted. 🙂

Thanks, Ad 🙂 Your lighthouse? It’s a ‘home plotting for the weekend’ sort of a day- bouncing with rain early on. We’re off to Skipton tomorrow to celebrate yet another anniversary.

Lol! It is very dreary here too. But there is something about the coast, isn’t there, that makes it attractive in all weathers – even if that means ruggedly attractive!!

Beautiful shots – I think I would much rather be there than in the dull, damp conditions of Scotland that I am experiencing now! I think maybe your last picture is my favourite, but it is hard to choose.

The wet has reached us Elaine, but we’ve had such a good spell lately that I can’t complain. I’m hoping to get it all out of the way because we’re off to the Dales tomorrow for our wedding anniversary. 🙂 Thank you!

Oh yes – rather get all the rain out of the way today ready for your outing tomorrow. For me – please can we just have overnight rain so that our plans for outings are not scuppered.
Happy Anniversary for tomorrow!

Great seascapes, Jo! I adore water (as long as it’s not descending from the sky) A city just has to have a river at least. But the sea is way better!
