Not long ago, Jude took us on a delightful tour of her new garden. It set me thinking, and these are some of the results.
Whenever I possibly can, I’m out in the garden for breakfast. Keeping a watchful eye and enjoying the serenity. I thought you might like to share it.
Jude, does this say Essence of Summer to you?

What a wonderful garden! 🙂
Enjoy the days in there,
Pit

It is so nice to find the essence of summer in your own garden. I hope you get some sunshine to go along with it, Jo! The reports I get from Europe are not very positive in this regard. I’ll send you some of our summer weather. 🙂

Lots of lovely summer clematis here Jo. I would love to have breakfast (or maybe brunch since that is a little later) with you. What is that first statue then? Looks oriental. And thank you for sharing your delightful garden with me on this last day of June!

I’m not sure, Jude. He looks a bit Samurai warrior but he’s a peaceful soul. Never bats an eyelid when the birds land on his head. 🙂
I have, of course, focused on the good bits.

Of course. And yes, you are right he does look like a Samurai. I quite fancied a Buddha (not the fat ones) but on reflection maybe a gaggle of geese would be better 🙂

We have a Buddha’s head in the corner, where I go to zumba, and I got told off for sitting on him in exhaustion one Saturday morning. 🙂 🙂 Yes- raffia geese! We saw some lovely ones on the lawn at Burton Agnes gardens yesterday.

I love that you have breakfast in the garden, Jo. It’s still dark when I eat breakfast. 😦 Beautiful photographs!

I never eat breakfast in the dark, Jill! Even in Winter I prefer to wait till it’s light, but my laptop gets a little more attention then. 🙂 Thanks, darlin’.

This is lovely. Especially on a cold, wet and grey winter’s day. Your garden looks beautiful, Jo. Mine is primarily weeds except for the veggie patch.

Thanks for checking. I returned from my Australian trip on Wed. Still settling into home life again. Had some good times in Australia, and everyone was reasonably okay.

I’m not sure whether it is the warm weather and lots of rain but the garden is the best it’s been for years. Like you we try to eat all our meals outside, bar rain. One summer we were barely inside apart from late evenings and night – pure bliss. Love your photos!

They are clematis, Ineke 🙂 Very easy to grow in our northern climate. This morning I was in the garden for breakfast but now it’s pouring down. Keeps it green 🙂

Superb shots, Jo. Love the light and shadow, especially in the pinky-orangey one. Is this your garden? And you’ve been keeping it a secret??? I’m glad your weather’s kind at last. Have a warm blue-sky hug.

I’ve just been messing with it foolishly to add a butterfly that I just captured in the garden- yes, it’s ours- and I don’t like the balance so much but I could go on messing all day. Should have left well alone but if I change it again it could end in tears, hugs 🙂 🙂
