Today Thursday’s Special is all about Mirroring.  I love watery reflections and, just occasionally, I like to play with Lunapic too.

  2. Lovely reflections, Jo! I like to photograph reflections as well, but usually, it happens when taking a picture of a river or lake scene and then realizing “Hey, that church is nicely reflected in the water! Awesome.” And then, I like the reflection better than the original and prefer to photograph that. 🙂

  9. Amazing captures and editing, Jo. Love the symmetric reflection. The second picture looks like two gnarly hands reaching out over the water 😀 But, as the others said, peaceful shot and that is a lovely poem about the water nymph. Very creative and goes along great with the images 🙂

    1. Sorry Paula. I switched the laptop off before 9 and it’s been a very busy day. I’ve just come back to it now and have deleted all comments as asked. I should rather have referred to nurturing your creative side but you know I always end up with my foot in my mouth. Hugs!

      2. I just deleted the email, Paula. I could tell you were very upset and I was sorry to be the cause of it in any way. Lack of sleep makes life twice as hard.

      3. Maybe it is not politically correct to inquire but did you had a chance to go to referendum about “staying or not staying in the UK”. I don’t have a crystal ball, but I have a friend in Portsmouth and I can see reasons for the UK citizens wanting to get out. God know I would, if I had a chance to vote against.

      4. Not politically correct at all, but why should you be? I had a postal vote, Paula, because we weren’t sure if we’d be in Portugal this week. I really don’t know which way it’s going to go but the aftermath will be interesting. 🙂

      5. I should envy you for being so laid back about the outcome. Our government has fallen, not that I am sorry for it, but our agony and uncertainty continues as we have to wait for September to see who will win next snap elections. That will also decide who gets to sit on top of the company I work for and what they will sell and how many of us (or all) they will fire. Croatia should have as good politicians as our football players. It’s not fair, or maybe we do not deserve better.

      6. Paula, I don’t have a good word to say for politicians in general. Whatever the outcome somebody will have to make the decision work, and there isn’t anyone in power I trust to do it well. I am not a political creature. The week was totally destroyed when Jo Cox, a young and idealistic politician who was trying to make a difference, and with young children of her own, was brutally killed on the streets of Leeds. Why do they always target the wrong people?

      1. Not entirely true Jo. If I blogged for light relief I would have never made my life so complicated with challenges and linking and polls and all. I just am puzzled that people are so quick to come to their own unfounded conclusions-. Anyway who hates me is free to go.
