3 Days, 3 Quotes- Day 2

be-you-quotes-1

When I was much younger I had a bit of a yen for Kerouac, and the lifestyle.  Even today, ‘On the Road’ resonates, for a lady with a restless streak.

Another day dawns

Another adventure begins, in a place that I love.

I hope that it may long continue.

The Happy Traveler kindly nominated me for the 3 Days, 3 Quotes challenge.  I have one more quote to come tomorrow.  If any of you would like to join in with some quotes of your own, please do feel free.  Meantime, have a happy Friday!

  1. So beautiful! I can see why you’d want to hold those images in your head if your weather is miserable. Reading the comments, we seem to have had it better than everyone else today. Not that I’ve had a chance to do anything with it as I had a car journey to make, but it’s good not to have driving rain for that. Ha ha, I made a pun.

    1. You did! I’m almost laughing, Anabel 🙂 My son drove back through snow from Leeds with a not very happy car, following an accident earlier in the week. He’s just arrived, still in one piece, so I’m happy. 🙂 (I may not be when I’ve waded through all his washing 😦 )

  2. Kerouac has long been on my must read list, but I’m afraid it will add to my yearnings even more. This week i watched a tv program about making music in the Kalahari with the San people and I’ve always wanted to go there – sigh, I must have been an explorer in a previous life and I’ll make sure I have a lot more adventures in my next if I have one! Tavira at daybreak looks lovely, but I must say we’ve had a few nice dawns here lately x:-)x

    1. I agree about our dawns, Gilly, but I don’t have a roof terrace here (and the thought of one does nothing for me 🙂 🙂 ). I’m usually in my ‘jamas so I’ve got quite a lot ‘through my front window’ but it loses something somehow. 🙂 The Kalahari isn’t on my list so I’ll just read your blog post. 🙂 Have a happy weekend!

  3. I was a bit of a Kerouac fan too, though it has been YEARS since I read that particular book. I also loved Led Zeppelin’s song ‘Ramble On’ for similar reasons. Love the colours in these sunsets. I look forward to some sunset watching in the future. Hope it is not too cold up there!

    1. Perishing! And wet, but we’ve avoided the snow 🙂 Got tomorrow’s quote in the bag but no idea how to tie it in with 6WS. Waiting for the Weekly Challenge for inspiration. You winning?

      1. Resting. Waiting for a removal quote before deciding who to go with. Very expensive! Could buy a (small) car for less! Sprung cleaned entire house. Now waiting for a vinyl guy to call to see if he wants to buy any of our albums. Rest will go to Oxfam. Slowly, slowly, clearing a lot out.

  4. I’d be with you sneaking up to the terrace. Glorious photos and love the quote too.
PS don’t dare mention what the weather has been (& still is) like here!!

    1. Ha! An early bird 🙂 Or late nighter in your bit of the world, Meg. It’s an image I love too. Our neighbour has the mosaic of Ponte Romana on their roof terrace and I just caught the pink light too. 🙂 Happy weekend, sweetheart!

    1. Thank you again, Bjay! I’m busy doing a little research and trying to catch up. Wet and miserable in my corner of the UK so perfect for it. 🙂 No wonder my ‘quotes’ are Algarve.
