Oh no! Not a duck decoy!
Strolling in the country park at Sedgefield last week, I spotted the duck decoy sign. I’d never noticed it before but it gave rise to my little Saturday story. (if you magnify the sign, you will see that it was a method of trapping ducks for the table at the ‘big house’) Hope it gave you a smile.
And while I’m in the park, here are two photos I took on the boardwalk, just perfect for Verena’s Festival of Leaves. It’s a lovely autumnal challenge you might like to visit. But don’t forget to pop in on Cate, will you? Happy Saturday everybody!

Lovely decoy photos:) Lucky duck…or maybe not… Have a nice weekend Jo!

I am sure those decoys worked well. They look very realistic.

I am recovering from pneumonia. Nine days in hospital–they found mild congestive heart failure during that time, which my be from chemo. Took me off that chemo for a month. Now I am recovering from shingles. When it rains it pours…

That’s the result of your immune system being so low isn’t it? One thing leads to another. So sorry, darlin’. It must be hard for your family too, but you’ve been so brave.

Yes, the immune system has something to do with it. We all just keep on swimming…

Looks like a pleasant place for a walk and today is definitely a duck day, though I am still puzzling over those grey ones, are you sure they are ducks and not cygnets? Anyway, I’m nipping up to the butcher otherwise we’ll have nothing for dinner and it doesn’t look as though the rain is going to stop any time soon 😦
See you later 🙂

I didn’t say they were all ducks, did I? There are swans on the lake, and cygnets and Canada geese too 🙂 You may have sunshine by now. It started pretty gloomy here but in the last hour Mr. Sun has got his hat on 🙂

Canada geese seem to be all over here, can’t be many left in Canada! And yes, the sun has appeared and it is beautiful now 😀
