Benches at the beach- for Jude
I’m well aware that I haven’t taken you to the Algarve for a while. Don’t worry! The photos are there, in a folder. A little laid back time on the beach would be lovely, wouldn’t it?
Today is just a glimpse. I seem to have caught the Bench bug, and it’s all thanks to my friend, Jude. May is her month for benches at the beach. With just one day of May to go, I thought I should post these. Jude will be happy as a sand boy, because right now she’s playing on Cornish beaches. Do pay her a visit. Maybe you have a bench for next month’s challenge?
This morning I have a little sunshine, too. Got to make the most of it, before Sunday whisks it away! Wishing you a happy weekend, and please don’t forget to share your six words with Cate.

benches and beaches, natty match.

Well, we had a nice day here today, Amy, and I’ve been watching a bit of French Open tennis, but I guess I would swap for the Algarve 🙂

It’s always enjoyable to see Algarve via your lens, Jo. My husband has been watching the French Open Tennis. 🙂 Happy weekend.

It really was, Rosemary. 🙂 I could quite fancy a paddle.

I would prefer the lounge chair under a palapa sipping on a piña colada while reading a book, or a dip in the water, or strolling the beach for shells and driftwood. 🌴🌺😎

I have to admit, not the most comfortable place to recline, but inexpensive, Lynne 🙂

Looks beautiful – I’d also be one of the restless ones wandering off to explore after a few minutes.

Best of both worlds, Anabel. There’s plenty of beach to explore and some lovely wild flowers in the dunes. 🙂

Gorgeous…wish I was sitting there right now. Hope you have a good weekend Jo…and I hope I haven’t left it too late for Jude’s bench challenge, I had in mind for next week. Bit over the place…so what’s new, ha 😉 xx

By my reckoning you have another day, Sherri, but what the heck? While Jude’s away, Sherri can play 🙂

Lovely shots, Jo. I have several e-friends that are obsessed with benches / bench photos / all things benchy.

I was totally oblivious to them, Ron, but it’s so easy to get lured into a challenge 🙂

We were lucky here today, Ann. It’s been almost constant, and I even spent some time in the garden with a book. 🙂

Considerably warmer there than here I suspect! Off to St Ives in a minute. WiFi here dreadful. Supposed to be in the cottage but not a whisper. Hooking in to a hot-spot that is merely luke warm 😦 I may be quiet for a while…

Very exotic! Can you lie on a beach and do nothing? I can’t last five minutes, beaches are for walking on and exploring 🙂

I can lie a little while and watch the waves and listen to the ‘shush’. 🙂 But usually I leave Mick half asleep and wander off, with the camera, of course. (just reminded myself of a very cute shot I haven’t shared yet- amazing what you find on a beach :)) Have a good weekend, Gilly!

Looking good, Jo – what’s the story with the drill? Hope you’re supporting Villa in today’s cup final – we need all the help we can get!

My guess is that it makes a hole in the sand for the parasols?

That could be a good guess, Andrew, but I really have no idea. When I looked at the photo afterwards I thought it was the propeller off a boat- which accounts for my inane comment. Opens mouth, puts foot in 🙂

Not sure if you’ll see my answer to Andrew’s intelligent comment, Richard? Good luck to Villa! You’ll need it 🙂 Few beers either way, hey? Cornish adventures good?

Do I have to keep being reminded of the sea and home? It must be that point in away when the internal compass starts to point true home again. It does indeed look tropical.

Fell asleep with them snuggled up last night. Had to pre-calm them with “Thomas the tank engine” when mummy and daddy went out. Fly out on June 12, so still a while.

Ages yet then! I’ll have been to Norfolk and back before that 🙂 Oh, I love Thomas 🙂
