Just time for a brisk walk!
So much about London is iconic, isn’t it? This time last week, I was whirling along the city streets! I still have a canal walk to share with you, but today I’m saying goodbye for a while.
Under Blackfriar’s Bridge next. I hadn’t walked this part in a long time so it felt new to me, though some of it’s very old. I love the contrast.
Yes, Meg, I know I’m going to be teased mercilessly about rivers and bridges, but how can I not show you London’s finest, in the short time that I have?
Can you tell that I’m just a little in love with our capital city? I had a fine weekend, but it’s back to the peaceful life for me. Early tomorrow morning I fly to the Algarve, hoping to find more blue skies. I’ll probably struggle to reply to many of you today, but hopefully I’ll make it up to you when I’m back.
Don’t forget the 6Friends Theory competition, will you? You never know what could happen. And, of course, visit Cate at Show My Face to share your week. I hope it was a good one.

Now this was a nice walk with you Jo. Lovely blue sky, fabulous cityscapes, great reflections and finished with the most wonderful image of St Paul’s. Have you been inside?
Safe journey Jo, enjoy the blue skies of the Algarve and we’ll see you in a little while with yet more watery images I don’t doubt.
Jude xx

The city was just waiting for me, Jude. I was having a panic over whether my antiquated laptop would work in the hotel but South Bank took my mind off it for a while 🙂 It’s so long since I was inside St. Paul’s. I need to do some East End stuff too, next time, whenever that might be 🙂
Thank you!

One of your pictures was labeled “Who knew this was here?” I find that even if I have walked the same path over and over I notice something new. Or that somebody has erected an ugly structure in a once beautiful spot. 🙂 lol
Thanks for another wonderful walk. 🙂

Hooray for the weekend, Indah! 🙂 I’ve zumba’d and food shopped for my son (for while we’re away). Just washing and stuff, then a meal out tonight with friends. Early start tomorrow!

Tease you, Jo? Never! You’re mistaking appreciation for teasing. I love your river and bridge shots (and boats and reflections) and learn a lot about composition from them. Today for me is Totally Idle Day: no little ones to say “Op up on nanny Meg”, so I’m loafing around in my serviced apartment. Haven’t really stopped since I arrived. Enjoy the Algarve. I will too!

Totally idle day certainly holds appeal, Meg. Can’t remember the last one! Well, maybe in the Algarve 🙂 And I was just joking about the teasing. As I loaded the photos I couldn’t help but think ‘oh-oh, what will Meg say?’ Take care, darlin’
