Warmth

Does this give you a warm glow?

Does this give you a warm glow?

It does me!  But I admit that a large part of that is memory.  I took it at Chatsworth House last year in the company of my daughter.  The visit made my Christmas special and I still feel a warm glow thinking about it.

I rarely see my daughter at Christmas but the lure of Narnia brought her to Chatsworth and I managed to meet her there.  That represents warmth to me.  How about you?

      1. Similar, in some ways.
As you know, we had a health-challenged year in our family, so we decided to have a quiet supper on Christmas Day — then hold our traditional Christmas dinner on Boxing Day.
Both days were lovely. Everyone pitched in with food, or helping, and there was much storytelling and laughter.

  1. A beautiful warm inviting glow from the candles and a special memory attached to Chatsworth with your daughter – that definitely represents warmth to me too 🙂 Very best wishes for 2015 Jo! 🙂

      1. Indeed she is Jo! She’s currently up in Yorkshire staying with my dad and rugged up in some new winter jumpers she purchased with our Christmas money! It snowed a bit yesterday so she had a sort of white Christmas! Very warm and pleasant here but I probably shouldn’t say that!

    1. There was a kid’s dressing up section in ‘Narnia’, Poppy, and of course, she couldn’t resist 🙂 Fresh here! Nice walking weather, if the other half ever gets out of bed 🙂

  3. A touch mysterious but definitely warm and inviting glow, Jo! How could it not be when it is about the moments, spent together with somebody close to your heart… 🙂
    Happy holidays, Jo!

  4. Warmth? What’s that? I’m glad you reminded me that warmth is more than climate. And being with my mob warmed the cockles of my heart – even if there were five of the thirteen (and one dog) missing.

      1. Travel safely, Meg 🙂 This silly country of ours ground to a halt yesterday over a flurry of snow or two. But only in the middle ! Us round the edges were fine 🙂 We’ll get our come uppance!

    1. I imagine you were needing a little warmth after your Boxing Day dip, Sue? 🙂 🙂
I went in the bath after I posted this but I had to jump out again. I wanted to add a photo, which was ‘on the tip of my fingers’ before I pressed Publish. Somehow I couldn’t let it rest. Happy now 🙂
Very best wishes for 2015, Sue 🙂
