Overwhelmed with wishes! Thank you all!
You’ll be able to find out where on next Monday’s walk, but meanwhile I have some serious catching up to do! I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has left comments on the blog in the past week. I’ll be visiting you as soon as I possibly can.
I had a wonderful birthday, and the smile on my face wasn’t even seriously dented when my mobile phone made a bid for freedom from the bottom of my bag and swam off beneath the ferry! It did, of course, provide much amusement for the other passengers. I hope you’ll excuse me if I simply post a quick gallery of highlights.
Such delightful memories! Here’s wishing you all a wonderful weekend. I’m off to visit Cate at Show My Face and check out Six Word Saturday. See you soon!

Wonderful photos bringing beautiful memories of a fabulous time! You look so happy Jo 🙂 As promised, I managed to get my walk in but don’t know if it’s in time for Monday. Here is the link anyway and as promised, lots of swans 🙂 Hope you like, and welcome back to blogland 🙂 http://sherrimatthewsblog.com/2014/11/08/a-walk-with-swans/

Hi Sherri 🙂 I saw the pingback come up. You haven’t taken the month off yet? I’m still trying to get a grip. M-R sending me a cake and a whole load of friends has ‘pushed me over the edge’. 🙂 🙂 I should be so lucky!
Yes, of course you’re in time. The walk is in my head but getting it up and running for Monday is another matter. Take care and thank you, darlin. Have a good weekend.

A cake? Wow…you are blessed indeed Jo with so many wonderful friends, as so you should be, such a wonderful friend to all of us, that you are 🙂 I’ll be over to your Monday Walk now (you got there, knew you would but understand how that feels…) but meant to say so sorry about your mobile phone, what a pain. Hope it was insured, unlike my middle boy’s whose phone broke on Halloween (he dropped it thanks to slippery gloves – don’t ask – and is now stuck paying on his contract until £180 is paid off the balance for a phone he can’t use…)
I’m not sure about blogging as in I don’t know if taking a month off is such a good idea after all. I need the distraction, I think I’ll go under if I shut myself away. Sorry to to be a downer…my head is spinning today. Not one hour after posting my swan post on Saturday, I had the news that a very dear family friend died on Friday night. It’s hit me hard. Also some other family ‘stuff’ with my dad, his release and illness… I got to dig down really deep if I am to get my book written Jo..so I’m still here and day by day…but enough of that. Send me a hug will you? I could use an extra one or two today

A huge mega hug coming your way, Sherri! Hope it helps 🙂 I was just about to close the laptop and make breakfast for my lazy son, THEN open the new mobile which arrived 2 minutes ago. I’ll need help with the technology so I have to be nice to James 🙂
So sorry about your friend. Make the most of your days, Sherri. Sending love and peace your way xx

You’re a sweetie Jo… Ahh…so glad you got your new phone…a good breakfast will be well appreciated by your boy before he gets your new toy up and running…love it when that happens 🙂 Oh I’m feeling your mega hug and love and peace…and I will Jo, I will do just that. Bless you, thank you so much …and sending back the very same ❤ xx

It was, of course, a virtual cake, and there is a sting in the tail with the phone, Sherri 🙂 Mick didn’t think to order me a new SIM card, which is, of course, at the bottom of the ocean! James first question was ‘where’s the SIM?’ so I’ll be struggling alone when it arrives as he’s back to Leeds tonight for 2 weeks. Life, huh? 🙂 Still smiling! 🙂 🙂

Oh dear! That mobile was an antique, Dina, and was going to be replaced long ago, but I’m not so hot on technology. No choice now, is there? Many thanks!

What a happy time! Love the gallery and that boat shot reminds me of Dorset for some reason. The more you show me of Tavira, the more I like 😀

I’m falling for it too!

I hate to spoil the party but the boat shot was in Carvoeira, one of the Algarve’s more commercial spots. More about that later 🙂

It was a great birthday, Jude, and we spent the day along the coast at Carvoeira. It’s a lot more commercial than Tavira but out of season I rather like it. 🙂

My first visit to Portugal was in Carvoeira and I loved it! A lot less high rise than nearby Albufeira.
