It’s a while since I found time for a windows post, but I did find some rather nice ones in the Algarve recently. The one above is in the village of Cacelha Velha. The others are pure Tavira!
I think I’ll save some for next week. You can have too much of a good thing, can’t you? I like a bit of a story with my windows. The one below is one of the upstairs windows at the cafe Anazu. You might remember I have a penchant for a glass of port there? The piped music is always gentle and relaxed and, if that’s not enough entertainment, you can watch the swifts swooping overhead, into their nests. The umbrellas provide a spot of cover, just in case!
I wonder what kind of windows Dawn is featuring this week. Old, new, shiny, stained glass- they all have that something that makes you linger, don’t they? She’s up to #week 25 in the current series! Let’s go take a look.

What a lovely selection Jo. And yes, umbrellas are very useful when there are swifts about…

My ever practical husband pointed that out, Jude. I hadn’t given it much thought 🙂

I like the little cutout in the one window. A cross between a heart and a butterfly…it plays tricks on you when you look at it long enough!

I was very taken with that one too, Elisa 🙂 Mostly I like the kind with shutters and surrounded by stone.

Lovely impressions and so different from our own window. Thank you for bringing this part of the world a bit closer to us, Jo. Enjoy your evening.

It’s a lovely evening here in the north east of England, Dina. I’ve had a very energetic and outdoors day and am now collapsed with the laptop 🙂 Wishing you, Klaus and the ladies a beautiful evening too!

I really like the one with the passion flower, but I’m rather fond of tiles as well. They are all lovely Jo!

Thanks, Gilly 🙂 I especially like the one with the ‘keyhole’ shutters.

What gorgeous windows these all are Jo. I haven’t posted any windows lately but there will be a few in tomorrow’s post come to think of it… 🙂

Ah-ha! 🙂 I love that there are so many shapes and sizes, Sherri. These are only about half of the ones I took last week.

Jo I can indeed see the lamp! Very clever.
Reading the comments I am currently viewing this on my iPad so no slides how for me. As far as your thoughts on writing posts I used the IPad to blog from Slovenia and Croatia last year but it has limitations. On the iPad using the WordPress app you can not access your media library. So you can access photos from your IPad but nothing you have saved. You also can’t get to any drafts. We have purchase a small laptop for our trip to Italy. My IPad almost got thrown in the Thames this spring I grew so frustrated.
SO my summary is that I have done many posts off my iPad but it has challenges.
My apologies for going on and on. 🙂

Does that mean you can’t see ANY of the photos in the slideshow, Sue? Does that apply to Gallery style too? It’s interesting to know these things, isn’t it? Funnily enough I changed this to Gallery and back a couple of times before I made my mind up. 🙂 It would influence my judgement, had I known.
So- obviously you can still comment using iPad! If I ever have to resort to an iPad I’ll have to commission you to do the post for me from the sound of things, Sue 🙂 Many thanks for your helpful rant!

I could also live in the one of your choice, but then it may get a little crowded. 🙂 Beautiful and charming windows this week, Jo.

It’s a big house, Ad- we can share! 🙂 There’s an enormous garden next door, too (the trees are just visible through the ‘window’ in the second shot). I always want to get inside for a look!

I nearly had to opt for an iPad yesterday, Meg, but we’ve managed to revive the laptop (again!). I’ve never used an iPad and don’t know if I could write posts using one, but I expect I’ll find out, one of these days 🙂
No hurry! I think there’ll be a part 2 next week.

If you do need to use an iPad, then I’d suggest getting an external keyboard to go with it. I struggled trying to write posts when in London and that’s all I had. Couldn’t get links to work either – had to just post the entire URL. The keyboard helped.
