Fit to drop! An apt expression!
This weeks’ Six word Saturday was to have been :
Getting Barcelona out of my system!
but the first is far more appropriate. I took part in a zumba marathon last night, for the local hospice, and Lumiere at Durham absorbed all of my evening on Thursday. I thoroughly enjoyed both but the mountain of ironing is giving me baleful looks, not to mention visiting all your lovely blogs. What’s that saying- “the show must go on?”
As always, you can click on any photo to set the gallery rolling. Well, I’m tired but happy now. Any volunteers to do that ironing? No, I thought not!
Instead, why not join Cate at Show My Face? I always do! See you next week. Hope it’s a good one for you.

More lovely photos of Barcelona.
I’ll do your ironing if you’ll do my dusting? Fair swap? 😉

That’s a good swap! Dusting someone else’s stuff is interesting. 🙂

We must arrange this as soon as possible! 🙂

Looking at your pictures highlights, once again, what a beautiful city this is.

It is, Colline 🙂 I got temporarily diverted by “Lumiere” in Durham, which finishes tonight, but there’s sure to be more to come. Can’t waste 600 photos, can I?

With arms or without – very inspiring all of it… 🙂

Thanks, Drake 🙂 I’ve been busy playing on the Lumiere website this afternoon, admiring everyone’s photos.(better than ironing 🙂 you didn’t volunteer, I noticed!)

I get plenty of exercise – when you jump up on the back of my mountain bike so do I volunteer… 🙂 😉 ,-)

What a great post! You took us on a fabulous trip down memory lane and you now have a number of volunteers to do your ironing!
Personally, I’m with Cate – wear wrinkled clothes! Far too many adventures to be had instead of doing the ironing! 😆

Old habits die hard, Madoqua. It is tiresome being the willing workhorse sometimes, but I can hardly complain if you look at my last couple of weeks, can I? 🙂 Thank you!

oh wow a zumba marathan – just the thought of it makes me tired. wtg!

It wasn’t as full-on as I expected, Suzy 🙂 We were allowed rests, and food and drink (which probably wasn’t such a good idea!) It was great fun.

Very lovely photo’s Jo! I feel like I was right there with you! I am glad your ironing is finished, I have some if you would like to come visit! 🙂 I could show you the Washington and Oregon Coasts as payment!

I’m sure I’ll be far too jet-lagged to iron, Tonya, but the Oregon coastline has huge appeal. Not snowing yet, is it? 🙂

How wonderful to get to explore Barcelona Jo! We went to England for a month when my husband retired about ten years ago and got to take the fairy over to France…but that’s it. I think we are due for another awesome trip! Glad you had fun. And the pictures were great!
I like ironing…and the fresh looking clothes, but I really haven’t done any for years now. I just throw them in the dryer for a quick tumble and it de-wrinkles them. 🙂

It was a birthday treat, Linda, and I really loved it. Ironing, not so much 🙂

Would you believe, I do not even own an iron! After ironing for 7 siblings for 16 years, I swore I’d never iron again! I did, however, for awhile, when sewing was my hobby.
I absolutely love the couple sculpture! Great photo sharing!

Thanks, Ruthi 🙂 I loved that sculpture, too!

Take it to Morrisons like me! Looks like you had perfect weather out there – was it as warm as it looks?

Didn’t know Morrison’s did it!!! Worth knowing 🙂
Grey for the walking tour but blue skies and 26/27C thereafter. I could cope! Have you posted Bruges stuff today? I’d forgotten you were going.

I take all my stuff to Morissons and haven’t got the iron out for over a decade now! 27 sounds a bit special for November – I wonder when it’ll be that warm over here again.
Bruges was cold and wet but we loved it! I’ve written posts on the bars and the crowds, and will try to put one more up on the chips.

🙂 Hi Jo ~~ You made me want to go back sooner than I will. I am soooo glad for you that you enjoyed Barcelona so very much!!! At first I thought perhaps the armless couple sitting on the ledge were mimes but probably sculptures?
I don’t know that we will get back as it really isn’t on the way to anyplace we would go. But I would love to come back. We rented a car there and drove to Southern France for a week. Then drove back through Andorra as we hadn’t been there ever either. We ditched the car and spent three days, four nights in Barcelona.
I will look today at your other posts, again I am happy for you. EVERYONE should go to Barcelona if it is possible for them.

I love your snippets of Barcelona, Jo! I’m sorry I won’t volunteer to do your ironing, but I’m sure it can wait until you’re sufficiently rested from your zumba marathon. Just wear wrinkled clothes… who cares? 🙂

This post kind of wrote itself, Cathy. I love it when that happens. It was going to be a harbour tour, but it had a mind of its own 🙂
Ironing done, till Dad brings some more tomorrow. 😦

There’s worse things, I guess. One of the good things about my blogging friends is that they all seem to have the “life’s for more important things” attitude. I’m stuck with my old-fashioned attitudes now. Sunday dinner’s done and washed up. Dad’s watching snooker and the rest of the day is almost my own 🙂
