Even a sunshine bird like me can’t help but thrill to the colours of Autumn. Crispy days, with the water running dark and the sun shining bright…
And glinting through the leaves.

This lovely yellow brighten up my grey morning in Cambridge, dear Jo! And it seems to works wonders as well, there’s a crack up there now, letting some sunshine out.

I think most of Britain must be grey, Dina. I just came back from walking and it was dismal. I’m blaming my Polish cousin, Wojtek. He came to stay with his sister in Norfolk for a week’s pike fishing and I ‘ve hardly seen the sun since. 🙂

That is a yellow door! Our leaves here aren’t turning pretty colors like yours. They are changing but they are so muted that it doesn’t have the same wow factor.

The Richmond shots are from last year, TBM. I’ve been a bit disappointed in the colour this year. Going out walking this morning so I may do better 🙂

Had I entered The Hue of You, like you I would have chosen yellow too.
Warm and hot without the danger of red. Blue would have won easily had it been plural and associated with music. Green is of course the in colour these days of climate change.
You post had every thing for a yellow yokel like me, except the yellow submarine.
Pauline and I often visit places for the Autumn leaves and I have a photo of Pauline in Matilda, our van, I pasted in the middle of acres of Sun-flowers using Photoshop trickery..

Lovely photos – each and every one of them. As a summer lover too, I do also love the colours of autumn. I’m going to wait a couple of weeks I think, and then drive through a local forest to admire the changing trees. I try to do it every year – even used to take my daughter from when she was very little to look at the beautiful autumn tints. 🙂

Hi Jim! Had a good day? I just had my evening fix of Strictly Come Dancing and am settled down to the blog. I love for it to be sunny enough for me to wear sun glasses. No chance here for a while 😦

Mrs. Jim and I just came back from a 45 minute walk in the neighborhood. Met some new neighbors, our friends had moved to Rhode Island just this Thursday.
It is shorts and golf shirt weather here today. Beats the snow of further north for being outside.

I DO love England! I visit as much as possible despite the weather… I have “fond” childhood memories of walking to school in the rain and snow… my Dad was from Yorkshire but we lived on the south coast.

Seems like WP limits the number of replies to any one comment…. or maybe it’s just me! Anyway, hope this ends up in the right place! There WAS a man involved… my father! I was only 12 the first time we came and 15 or 16 when we settled permanently. I often wonder what my life would have been like if my parents had stayed in England…. it would be interesting, although not necessarily a good thing, if we could see where each fork in the road would have taken us…
