Cheese flavoured icecream with Jamie Oliver!

Jamie looks on as the cone is filled with berries and the cheesy icecream
I was mildly chastised by a dear blogging friend for the verbosity of my Six word Saturdays, so I’m not going to hang about explaining. I’ll simply say that my weekend with my daughter produced a few surprises. Click on any photo for more details.
We started in elegant Thea Caffea (Earl Grey for Lisa)
There’s even a grand piano, darling!
Lisa was quite attached to this boot! It normally lives outside the cafe, but it was closing time.
Jamie’s Italian, next door, had film crew in, recording a new series?
“Are you allergic to animals?” we were asked.
And it isn’t possible to have icecream without my red haired lady!
In sunny Market Square the seaside had come to visit.
With rides and climbing frames.
Then home to put the kettle on (but that’s Lisa’s handbag!)
Can’t help but love her.
I’m practising brevity. (but only for the purposes of this challenge) What do you think? Join Cate at Show My Face if you want to play along. The button below links to my previous Six word Saturdays. Happy weekend!

I would love to try cheese flavored ice cream! I thought I was being brave this summer when I tried chocolate peanut butter flavored cheese LOL

That sounds dodgy to me, Becca! I was a little bemused by having a celeb and film crew around, but it was fun. I wasn’t queuing for seconds but it was nice with the berries. 🙂

You did manage to keep it shorter than usual, Jo, but I know you can’t resist telling a story! It looks like you had a lovely time with Lisa. I’d love some of that cheese and cherry ice cream! 🙂

It was quite exciting (and unexpected) having the celeb and film crew there, Cathy. I would love to eat in the restaurant- looks really nice. Maybe another time. 🙂

Where there’s a will, there’s a way, Jo. I’m sure you will find another time to eat there. I’m sure it was exciting with the celeb and film crew! That’s always a fun adventure. 🙂

I personally miss your narrative. I enjoy all your words, and shame on those who chastised you! Besides, Cate says you can explain, or not! Okay, I am done with my rant. 😉
I enjoy seeing your lovely daughter’s style, and every adventure you post. I am envious of being that close to a celebrity like Jamie Oliver. Was the ice cream similar to the flavor of cheesecake?

I’ve not had cheesecake flavour, I don’t think, though I’ve heard it’s good. This was quite cheesey and I don’t think I could eat a lot of it, but it went well with the berries. (and it was free 🙂 ) The cheese it was made from was there for tasting too, alongside of grapes.

Ben & Jerry make a really delicious strawberry cheesecake ice cream. The factory’s only about an hour’s drive. I go there, take the free tour (w/ free samples) fairly regularly. I consider myself lucky if the flavor of the day is the cheesecake (or, better yet, the Cherry Garcia).

Free samples of Ben and Jerry’s, Ron? I am sooo jealous. My favorite is Chubby Hubby.

I’ve heard about the strawberry cheesecake, Ron. Shame it’s so far to come for my free sample. Could I justify the airfare do you think? 🙂

I love the idea of this challenge, and think about it every week, but I know I could never be that brief. However I love your flagrant disregard for the rules, and always love to read your posts Jo. The ice-cream sounds…..interesting

Thanks, Seonaid. 🙂 (It was a bit like Dairylea, but please don’t mention that to Jamie. He might not be impressed)

Are you supposed to only have the six words at the top then? I like your other words, too, and you’re certainly not verbose. Thea Caffea looks superb, and Lisa’s handbag is marvellous! I’m curious about the cheese icecream, was it cheddary? Is there actually cheese in it?

You’re supposed to just use six and keep people guessing, but I can never resist telling the story, Lorna. 🙂
We got to taste the cheese too, and a little went a long way, if you know what I mean! The icecream tasted a bit like Dairylea (not wishing to advertise) but it went well with the berries.

Hi Jo ~~ I love your posts of any length. They are sooo interesting. 🙂 Thank you for all the pictures. Your daughter is one pretty young lady.
We are still with our daughter although they went to Stockholm for the weekend. That means we are stuck with the grandkids, girls four and sixteen. What a pleasure!!!
I would like your cheese flavoured icecream and berries. Most every day that we are here I treat to the Gelato Mia here on High Street. It is an eight minute walk.
