Fulfilling a promise

Team Member Award

Team Member Award

What can you say about Viveka?  The best thing to come out of Sweden since Abba?  Well, you wouldn’t be far wrong.

Who else could induce me to pass on an award within days of receiving it? (with a gracious curtsey)  The lady is simply irresistible, so if I want to remain a member of her team (and I do!), I simply have to fulfill a promise.  Thank you, Viveka, for awarding me the Wonderful Team Member Award.  May I present you, in turn, a small bouquet of Spring flowers from my garden.

I hope that you will always be one of my guilty pleasures.

I don’t feel the need to pass this on to individuals.  There are a number of people who always comment on my posts, as I delight in reading and commenting on theirs.  If you are reading this you are almost certainly one of that much cherished group.  Please accept my grateful thanks and feel free to pass this on if you so wish.  Viveka has kindly provided the rules and regulations in her post.

I hope that your week has been full of promise too.

  1. What a delightful response to an award and well deserved indeed.
Your garden must be a lovely spot, and oh….. I do have a weakness for Clematis. I have managed to grow some from cuttings once which did surprise me!

    1. In the Summer it can look a little bare, Madoqua, but it’s great at this time of the year. The rhododenrons are huge favourites of mine, as well as the clematis.
Thanks for the kind words. 🙂

  2. Sorry, Jo. I had Viveka on the brain, and then after posting the comment, realised that there was no accompanying music. Anyway, the hugs and the “well deserved” still apply. 😳

    1. Lovely to have you here, Sam. Another person who’s always very welcome in my little corner of the world. 🙂 I love the rhodies- always so colourful and flamboyant.

    1. I love the way that the rhododendrons start one colour and slowly grow paler, Elizz. Those pink ones are almost white now, with just a delicate hint of colour. 🙂

  3. I do love the flowers and this is the best way to receive them. Unfortunately my allergies prevent me from having them in my home, but I can’t help but admire them in photos and in nature. Have a wonderful weekend Jo. And let’s hope we get to see some tennis.

      1. I missed it as well and sadly I didn’t record it. And I work from home so I am disappointed that I completely forgot. I guess I got used to the rain delays and didn’t think to check. Enjoy the match if you watch.

      2. I’m watching it while I respond to comments, so you know that it’s not his finest hour. He seems very nervous this tournament, but then he is a pretty wound up character. If it was live I’d be worrying.

      3. I was on pins and needles during his first match. It really looked like he was going to lose the second set as well. He has a lot riding on this tournament and I wonder how healed he is. I still have my money on him–actually we don’t bet money, but it’s a pride thing. The better half thinks Novak will win. I think Novak is a great player but I have a hard time cheering him on for some reason.

      4. My prayer mat is out for Rafa. Novak has him worked out these days. I loved the Rafa/Fed days. The guys actually seemed to like each other. 🙂

      5. They liked each other and respected each other. It seemed like after a match they would have no issues going to dinner and putting the match behind them.

    1. Oh, you are lucky, Sartenada! I’m not sure that we’re going to have a Summer here in England this year- maybe one or two nice days, like today. 🙂

    1. Now that the rain has finally stopped, it’s so green, Sonel! The plants loved it, and are stretching up to the sun luxuriously (just like me 🙂 ) You know, I’m sure, that you’re a very welcome member of “the team”.

    1. I don’t much like rules and regulations. I had too many of those as a Civil Servant. But I do value your friendship, Viveka, and am proud to be a member of your team. 🙂
