Truly I think that description belongs to La Sagrada Familia, but Gaudi’s genius is displayed all over Barcelona. Parc Guell is one of my favourites. Well worth Six Words! Wishing you a happy Saturday!
The skill and expertise is awesome, but I think I first tap into the joy of Gaudi’s creativity to “think it up” in the first place! It’s rather amazing, isn’t it?
Incredible, Debbie! Did you see the video I shared, with Mari, in the comments? A bit of a spoiler really, I suppose. I’ll probably use it in my last Gaudi post π π
It certainly is Jo π Been wet so a bit of inside stuff and try to get out between showers of rain. How is yours going?
Settled down, thankfully. Himself was ok today so I breezed off out for a bit. We have a curfew from 1pm at weekends so this afternoon was peaceful. π π
Glad you could get out for a bit and M is OK π It must be quite different with traffic and people noise during curfew not being about π π
Lovely photos and thanks for posting the video. I’m sending that to a friend who tours the Sagrada FamΓlia on Google Earth!
I think we did, Aiva, although we were there at opening time to avoid the crowds. I think we carried on up the hill to the fairground later in the day. Amazing what you can fit into a few days π π
It was about 6 years ago that we were there, Marion. Love at first sight π π Just had mince and Yorkshire puds so I won’t be jumping up and down for a bit.
Amazing. There were some benches in Naperville that used mosaic and a number of walls and things in Philadelphia that also do. Maybe they were inspired by Gaudi.
Thank you for taking me back to this fascinating city. Wishing the two of you all the best in this new year.
Thanks, darlin! It has so much to see, doesn’t it? π π
I have yet to see Gaudi’s art and architecture in person. Your photos are a wonderful preview, Jo!
Thanks, Kelly! I was dazzled by his creations π π
Amazing work of art!
It’s a fabulous place to visit, Teresa
His work as a whole defies imagination!
Yes, I think so too π€ππ

I didn’t see it, Jo, but I will. π
Just wow! Iβm so glad that we donβt belong to the camera film era π And can capture all that we want… especially in a place like this!
I dread to think how many failures I would have had, Rita π π
I dread the thought of keeping a check on the number of clicks π
My favourite place as well Jo π
Fantasyland, Brian π π Having a good weekend?

Thanks a lot, Graham! I would have included it in the post if I’d thought about it at the time. Amazing what you can find on YouTube π π
I could easily spend a whole day walking around Park Guell βΊοΈ there’s so much to see and do. Have a lovely evening 𧑠Aiva

Gorgeous photos, Jo! Parc Guell is amazing, I was lucky enough to visit it some years back.
Have a wonderful evening, dear.

I would think that’s probable, Janet. I didn’t do much sitting on them π π
