Inside and outside, there is so much to see! Adoration barely covers it. My little Christmas crib will be tucked away securely for another year tonight, along with the tree. I’ll just take one last look at Becky’s.

Wonderful shot.
Thanks, Rupali! So many wonderful aspects to this building. π π
Oh yes.
Beautiful workmanship.
The detail is incredible, Carol π π
Lovely. I still have all my decorations up. I like to leave them up at least through Epiphany and usually longer than that. They look so festive and it took lots of time putting them up, so we might as well enjoy them. However, needing to dust may take over soon. Lots more dust here than in Illinois. We’ll see. No one will notice dust until I take everything down anyway. π

We always heard that it was unlucky to keep them up after 12th night, but we could never agree if that meant down by midnight on 5th or 6th π π We don’t have big time decorations, so they’re put away in an hour, but no less enjoyable for that. I love to come down on a morning and sit with just the tree lights. I’ll miss that tomorrow. π¦
When our girls were young, we used to camp out on the living room on New Years Eve after a dinner of hors d
Drat! After a dinner of hors d’oeuvres and with the Christmas decorations up and Christmas lights on. It was so much fun.
π π
So lovely! These get better and better.
It’s a lovely place, Anabel. No doubt about it π π
Ah, one of my favorite architects…what a place this cathedral is! I remember being totally awed as I wandered around inside. The colors, the forms…fond memories of Barcelona. Wishing you a very wonderful New Year Jo! β€οΈ Stay safe.
Thanks, sweetheart π π
Can you imagine being a part of the team who built that. Stunning photo Jo π
No! But you’d retire happy, wouldn’t you? π π Thanks so much, Cee!
Great photo Jo. Happy New Year if I haven’t said it already. Looks a bit warmer there than here presently.
I imagine so, Jonno, though I’m not currently in Barcelona. Daytime temps here have dropped to 12/13C and that’s pretty low for us. It’s fine if you’re out in the sunshine but we have a few rainy days coming up before we get back to ‘normal’. And then it will be Spring π π
We visited Sagrada Familia a few years back. Absolutely incredible!
From the outside I was never sure, Lynn, but when we went inside I was blown away π π
La Sagrada is indeed divine.
I agree, Frank. Happy Epiphany π€π
Beautiful. When I was a child we always exchanged 1 gift and celebrated the Epiphany, today most folks never heard of the feast. Have a good day, warm and sunny here so I’m going for a drive.
Much cooler here, Alice, but I have many things to catch up with. Have a lovely day π€π
Beautiful, Jo. Thanks for sharing!
Happy Epiphany, Jill π€π
I wonder who crawled up there to create the divine. That is the miracle to me. π
They are still working up there, Esther. It’s completely mind boggling the work that has gone into this building π€π
Making me dizzy. Dizzier.
The Nativity faΓ§ade – Mary on her donkey. I took a few of these scenes too. Mesmerising.
Yes, as I said to Esther, quite mind boggling the work that has gone into this creation. π€ππ
Wow so beautiful. I would love to go back to Barcelona one day π Have a good day, Jo π§‘
Thanks darlin! Ironing and mundane things but probably a walk later πππ
Gaudi is beautiful Jo and that sure is a nice squareβ£οΈ
More to come, Sling. Have a nice day ππ
Magnificent!
You won’t need to visit by the end of the week, Teresa π π
Oh yes, just take me with you everyday and I will be ok!
That is so beautiful!
Glad you like it! Happy Epiphany, Aletta π π
Thank you!
awww a lovely look up – so much going on!
I could walk around all morning and still not see it all! π π
Good excuse to go back!
Nope! Not luring me back. Lisbon in October with Jude and Margaret. Well, maybe…. π π
that sounds fun π
indeed, Happy Epiphany! love this post, Jo. a great reminder especially in these times. thank you π π
O dia de Reis here, LolaWi- the 3 kings π π
Happy Epiphany-tide Jo – I can’t seem to find out what it’s called in Portuguese.
Not a clue, Margaret! Becky’s your woman. π π I expect I can find out by the end of the day… Thanks! Of course- O dia de Reis!
