Fascinating! And beautiful. Christmas shopping? I have a vague memory of being in stores, but it’s growing more vague each day! If you’re able, enjoy!! 🙂
Hi Debbie 🙂 🙂 Lovely to have you here! I only need a few small things to send with Christmas cards. I’m not much of a shopper but our shops are all open. I haven’t been to the mall but I love the Christmas lights. Finding the spirit is not so easy this year. Stay well, darlin!
That’s a nice find, Jo, and clever of you to caption it so well. I saw some lovely boxes in white and gold with lifhts inside them but they weren’t for sale. They were handmade by the shop but I’m not clever like that. Today I put up my Swedish window candelabras (5 in all) so I feel I’ve made a start. I’m not bothering with a Christmas tree this year, for what? No jolly ho, ho, hos, no merrymaking unless you count me sloshing around waving a bottle of Rioja and singing Jingle Bells to myself.
Oh, Mari! I’d love to be able to come and sing Jingle Bells with you 🙂 🙂 I’m not good at transforming the home to a wonderland either. Normally I’d pay a visit to Lisa about now and admire hers.
Love those lights. Since we called off Christmas at our house, I spent one day wrapping and packaging the gifts the would normally just go home with everyone. Yesterday I stopped at the post office, prepared to wait for ages and was pleasantly shocked to find no one in line before me!! What a Christmas gift that was!!! 🙂 I got a number of other things done in the spare time.
The Tavira lights are lovely this year. I haven’t got as far as writing Christmas cards yet but they’ve started to arrive so I need to get on with it 🙂 🙂
Nice Christmas find, Jo. If I ever get single again I might see if they also have Ladies in pretty boxes. Probably one of us will have to die, we’ve been married 47 years.
I quit Six Word Saturday’s, my last post was December 15, 2015 when Cate was still hosting, because I was having way too many comments for me to answer. I get your posts on my Yahoo eMail and often read them. I am reviving my “Christmas Tree” blog this winter so would like to get a few to view and read them.

Thank you for hosting, you have very good participation.
Merry Cristmas, Jingle Bells, Ho ho ho, and all the other holiday wishes,
..
Thanks, sweetheart! I can’t see you letting that lovely lass of yours out of your sight for long, Jim. Always good to hear from you. I’ll pop round with some Christmas spirit a bit later 🙂 🙂
It would, but I liked the couple with the little girl to the left of the present, Liesbet 🙂 🙂 Not really in the frame of mind but I need to start writing cards.
He seemed to have a lighting issue. I was concerned that he was spoiling my photos but when I looked at them afterwards the caption seemed obvious, Frank. Wishing you a happy weekend too! 🎅🦌⛄💕
Looks like he might need a helping hand to get back out. Nice to see some Christmas lights. The London ones were switched on early but I haven’t had a chance to get in yet.
Oh my, I hope they feed the poor bloke, locked up in there! 😉
Tonight the Netherlands celebrate ‘Sinterklaas’, especially the families with small children, and after that Christmas, with ‘Santa Claus’ is on its way. I still wonder about the connection between those names.
Haven’t decorated the house yet. Like you, I’m not in the mood, Jo.
Sunny hugs, have a good weekend, dear.
Ah this is great! I feel I can now ‘get on’ with Christmas as it’s December, the shopping has started and I’m going to put the tree up this weekend I think. It’s a lot sooner than I would normally do it, but I feel the need for some extra sparkle after the year we’ve had. Have a lovely weekend!
I’m struggling to get my head around it this year. I love all the lights and the cheesy music but my heart just isn’t in it this time. But the sky is bright blue and the sun is shining. Life goes on 🙂 🙂 Happy weekend too!
I can totally understand that. It’s definitely a strange one for sure and I think everyone has to find their own way through it all. It’s not nice not being able to see family and friends, so I’m trying to make peace with the fact it’s going to be a very quiet one. And to be honest, I’m exhausted so I’m looking forward to some leave and switching off from the world for a bit. I’m glad you’ve got blue skies and the sunshine, I hope they help a bit!
That’s lovely. but it’s way to early to start Christmas shopping. I know that, because a few years ago at local French market on December 10th, I was ticked off by a stallholder when I owned up to Christmas shopping on that day
I don’t usually do much before then either, Margaret, but I need a few small postable things so I’m going to have to get my act together, like it or not 🙂 🙂

Cute photo, Jo! Love the lights. The Saturday Night Live version of that concept is a bit more risque.
