1. That’s good! All well here, and enjoying getting lots of photos and videos of our new little grandson. Such a different time from when our girls were born and we lived 1000 km from family. We had to just rely on taking photos and getting them developed and then posting them in the mail. Now it’s instant gratification at its absolute best. πŸ™‚

  1. Hope your weekend is nothing like your past β€œkind of” week, Jo! Weekends are usually when I allow myself a drink and feel I deserved it. But, I don’t like to drink alone, so my hubby has to be up for it as well. He hasn’t so far. Maybe tonight?

    1. It’s been up and down, Liesbet, and I try to keep things in proportion, but not always successfully. We were at a fabulous jazz concert this afternoon so I did partake of a wine or two πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  2. Avoiding all mention of bad weeks and days, and avoiding Covid19, I just want to say I like your banner headline very much!

    1. Sunshine after the rain, Julie, in the form of a wonderful jazz concert and some very good friends. Much more than many can hope for. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ But thanks a lot!

    1. Actually, the day was perfect, Janet. Just home from a lunchtime jazz concert with some fine musicians. The week gone by was full of ups and downs, and the week ahead is full of restrictions, but I still have good friends to share with. I’m probably luckier than I deserve to be πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ But I appreciate the hugs.

      1. Barbara Hendriks isn’t the only one making my silly a lot of other music do the same – so I get “silly” before the port. πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

  3. I won’t ask, Jo, I’ll just hand you a drink. Though that drink will be a cup of herbal tea this morning. Want me to come back with something stronger this evening? Hang in there. x

    1. I shall be out to supper with a friend this evening, Marion, and I rather expect we’ll share wine. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Is the Pope Catholic, comes to mind. Have a nice weekend!

      1. You as well. A glass (or two) of wine in the company of friends is always good. I just added red wine to a stew of braised beef and onions in the slow cooker. Smells divine.

      1. Since you had a not-quiite-as-bad-week I thought I mention it now before I cannot mention it anymore because it has been too long. You’re missing a k in my name: Elke. But I’ve been called worse than Ellie! (btw: Amanda at StpA calls me “Knicker” which is fine as well.)

      2. No need. As I wrote: I’ve been called a lot worse. You’re welcome to call me anything you like but I didn’t want to read in year’s time “You should have told me!!” πŸ˜€

    1. Just been a bit up and down, literally, Margaret. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ You may have seen my comment on Deb’s? Not expecting to be there. Lots planned this weekend ahead of lockdown.

      1. No worries! Jazz concert at lunchtime. May have to be indoors, cos of the weather, which is a bummer but we’ll try for a window seat or not stay if the spacing isn’t good. Supper out tonight and a walk planned tomorrow. We’ll go down fighting. Waterloo spirit- just not gin πŸ™‚
