Love the mural but the slider doesn’t change anything that I can see. I know Debbie has used it before and when slid, the photo is different. Whatever. The mural’s great on its own. π
I realised what it was meant to do when Margaret tipped me off, Janet. In my ignorance I thought I had to mingle 2 separate images. No worries – I’ll get the hang of it eventually. There’s no one more trying than me π€£π€£π€£
Great mural Jo but what’s the slidey thing for? π I don’t want to change my blog and haven’t got the patience to experiment so I revert to ‘Classic’ whenever I do a post – even that’s been tricky enough to get my head round since the changes but at least it works and my blog stays the same
It’s just an interesting effect, Eunice. Nice if you want to ring the changes and give a photo impact. You just select the same image twice in the right media box and it does the rest itself π€£π€£π
Thanks but that’s just about as clear as mud : ) π I can see what you mean from your side of things but for me all the slidey thing does is move from one side to the other and nothing changes. I’m glad I can still use Classic, I don’t think I could cope with anything else! π π
Initially I thought you had to put 2 different photos in and marry them together but it’s so much simpler than that. Just insert the same photo in the 2 spaces provided and hey presto! To be used sparingly, I think π€£π
More than limping I’d say . . .you will have to join us one of these days for a block editorial
Except as I mentioned to Margaret the other day, this slider does not work on the WP App. OK in the browser though. You would think WP would test these features in the app
Initially I thought you had to marry up 2 different images, Margaret, so I really struggled. Nifty, isn’t it? π π Me? I’ve raced off into the distance!
I’m slow on the uptake and didn’t realise I needed to use a filter, or whatever. I like the fact that it expands the size of the image to fit the screen, but I’ll try and use it properly next time π¦
Ah, I understand now! Actually, you can expand and reduce the size of any image you use, simply by dragging it to the size you want. Where I fall down is dragging each image to exactly the same size.
Exactly! I did know you could do that but there must be a way to ‘set’ the size of your image for regular use, but I’ve not experimented. Working on a ‘need to know’ basis. π π
Well have to ask Aunty Becky. I have other questions too ….
I am quite fond of decent street art. I don’t like the crap that the delinquents spray all over the place.
Nor me, but there is some superb stuff out there π€π
Here’s a thing I did a while back about a Melbourne street artist who was given access to an old picture theatre to play with before they tore it down

Wow! Lovely… joining you πββοΈ
You make lovely company, Rita π π

Is that you, Jo? π
Afraid not! That’ll be me sitting on the beach, Mel π π

Lovely mural Joanne π
Lots of them about at the moment, Sami ππ
Nice mural
The slider thing π€£π€£
great street art with a pretty cool message, Jo π₯°
I’ve never been a runner but I keep reasonably fit, hon. π
Seems to be the perfect placement for this scene. π
It is, Frank. A fairly recent addition. π€£π Maintaining the beach theme in the run up to yours, which should follow at teatime.
π
What a great mural!
Probably more to follow ππ
That’s a very beautiful mural. There can never be too much street art. Thanks for sharing and have a good day π Aiva
Good street art, I enjoy, but I hate ‘scribble’ π. Thanks Aiva ππ
Pretty cool mural Jo. Very nifty! π
A quick sprint along the prom, Miriam! I’m better at walking π€£π€£π
Haha, me too!
Love it!!
Are you a fitness person, Aletta? I never run if I can walk π€£π€£π
No not all! I love walking! πΆββοΈ
That mural is giving you lots of Squares! You could be a poster girl yourself π
This is a different one, Jude. Not in Vila Real but on the promenade at Quarteira. And yes, there may be more π€£π€£π

Yay you are beginning to run with block π
Limping along hopefully π π

I don’t use the app so I wouldn’t know π€£π
Good street art Jo π
I like it, Brian π π
Haha! You’ve discovered the slidey thing too. But which runner is you??

Ah, super-speedy Jo ….
π€£π€£
The slider thing?
Two halves make a whole? π€π
Yes. Look at Jo’s first image and pull the arrow around. I’m not sure why she’s done it because as far as I can see, it’s the same image in both. My greylag goose the other day used it too: https://margaret21.com/2020/10/11/its-greylag-goose-time-round-here/
Ah, yes!
