Of its kind

The message last Monday was much stronger, but still, I love the lighthouse at Vila Real de Santo Antonio and, living where I do, so close to the salt marsh habitat of the Ria Formosa, I always have a soft spot for a flamingo. Croquet with the Queen of Hearts, anyone?

Monday Mural

  1. Great mural Joanne – it has a bit of everything – sea, boat, flamingo, lighthouse, compass and a young lady 🙂
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.

  2. What a beautiful mural, Jo! Eastern Algarve has to be Portugals best kept secret! I love lighthouses and flamingos, but haven’t had a chance to see one yet. Hopefully one day. Thanks for sharing and have a good day 😀 Aiva

      1. Jude, what is the point in worrying? Who knows what the situation will be by then. We will have to coach from the airport to Leeds. A pain in the butt. But if we don’t have flights we won’t be going anywhere. 😕💕

  3. This is wonderful, Jo. The flamingo entwined with the lighthouse. Will draw a veil over the ‘off with their heads’ flamingo crochet allusion. Weren’t hedgehogs involved too!

      1. But then you’d miss the detail. 🤔 Off to Santa Caterina. Monday is back to being a walking day 🤣 All ok with you? 💕💕

    1. Not at all. We saw lots of flamingos yesterday and, as usual, I tried to capture one in flight on the phone. I haven’t even bothered to look at my efforts yet 🙂 🙂
