The beauty of an Algarve Spring

‘Some are Spiky, some are not’.  🙂  Share Six Words with Debbie, and don’t forget to find a Spiky Square or two for Becky.  Have a great weekend!

  1. Beautiful flower finds, Jo. I’ll pick your yellow group without a name to be favorite. Thanks for peeking in on mine. I am keeping low on both SWS and Squares.

  2. Well you are certainly outdoing me in unusual spring flowers! Love the Carob blossom, never seen that before. I think the yellow is a golden trumpet vine, it is very pretty and so many flowers! It will be interesting to see what you find as the year goes on, I suspect by the summer it is going to be quite dry, so I am curious to see what you discover in the floral kingdom. Enjoy the rest of the weekend, it is supposed to be sunny here tomorrow and I hope my back is OK so we can go to a garden or maybe a walk on the beach.

    1. The wisteria is full out too, but I find that very hard to photograph. Jacaranda, hibiscus and oleander still to come. Feeling a little delicate today- another of those daft 50s, 60s and 70s nights 😦 Nothing a walk in the salt marshes won’t cure 🙂 🙂

      1. Wisteria is lovely. Just get close up shots of the flowers. I’d forgotten about the Jacaranda – my favourite tree. Oleander and Hibiscus I can grow here, but Jacaranda? Haven’t seen any, but given it grows in Paris you’d think it would grow over here.

  3. So lovely and spring-like!! Nothing anywhere near that here yet, but they’ll come. In the meantime, I’ll enjoy sharing yours. Have a marvelous weekend and good luck with the Portuguese!

    1. Thanks, darlin! I did half hour, then a few chores because we’re out a 50s, 60s and 70s evening soon. Anticipating some dire music, and I know there’s going to be line dancing 🙂 🙂 The things a girl has to do!

      1. Thanks for the comment here, Jo, Sorry it doesn’t work on my blog 😦 Actually, Mary and I didn’t clock that many miles on that trip. It’s a strange difference between the miles travelled by car [4000] and those by bike [140]. But then, the states we want to ride our bicycles in become farther and farther away, which increases the miles we need to travel by car.

  4. Enjoy Algarve Spring, Jo. Looks like a lovely day, and hope it is a lovely weekend for you. It’s a warm Autumn weekend here in Melbourne, and for that I am glad 🙂

      1. I’m afraid I haven’t been blogging much of late. Have been meaning to spend more time on the blog but just haven’t been able to get down to it.
