Loving Christmas time in the Algarve

I’ve been seriously neglecting Becky’s Square challenge this month, but time marches on and it’s almost time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

I’ve seen Aldeia dos Sonhos (the children’s Village of Dreams) in Loulé, a tree made of recycled plastics in São Brás de Alportel, and one decorated with firemen’s boots in Faro.  I’ve hunted down Presépios (Nativity scenes) in towns and villages all across the Algarve.

Perhaps I’m biased but I do think that Tavira’s lights are the best I’ve seen.  Square, or not so square, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

    1. Thanks sweetheart! Sitting with a lazy lunchtime wine because I did t’ai chi in the park this morning and walked out to the Ilha. I can hear the swoosh of the waves. Merry Christmas and a healthy happy new year to you 🌞🎄🎅🍷🍰💕

  4. Wonderful images Jo. I can see what a busy and joyful time you’ve had.
    I have missed doing a pre-Christmas trip in Europe for the last couple of years and see that I must put that right in 2019.

    1. I found a t’ai chi group this morning, Debs, so I joined them in a local park. It feels more like home every day. You’ll have to come and see for yourself 🌞🎄🎅🍷🍰💕

    1. I was at my first winter solstice party yesterday! Blue skies again this morning. Off to put the washing out! Have a lovely family Christmas Andrew and good health and travels in 2019 🌞🎄🎅🍷🍰💕

      3. Its been a nightmare for thousands of people. Our youngest son and his girlfriend have had a terrible week as they are both cabin crew who fly out of Gatwick. Hope its all back to normal now.

      1. Yes and no. Having Christmas dinner with my daughters tomorrow and with Kims family Christmas day. So many families to work out best times. Have a wonderful Christmas too Jo x

  20. Yay you’ve created a fabulously fun #timesquare, and with perfect timing too! I was thinking of taking Mum to Loulé on Christmas Eve and Tavira on Boxing Day, definitely will now 😁
