Tickled Pink on the Yorkshire Moors
There’s no resisting it! It’s time for September Squares with Becky. I was amusing myself at Poet’s Cottage garden centre, in the North Yorkshire village Lealholm, last week. Check the captions. Do these fit the bill for In the Pink?
On a more serious subject, lifeboats do an amazing job, don’t they? I live by the sea and am in awe of the courage and skill the crews exhibit. Join Debbie with Six Words and watch the video. And have a happy Saturday!

Wow loads of pinks in one hit, I hope you still have more! Happy Sunday darling 🙂

Thanks, hon 🙂 🙂 Nope- this will be my contribution for a week or two. I hate daily posting! The sun is shining brightly this morning and we’re off to an Alice style tea party this afternoon. Might be fun! You sorting packing, etc? 🙂

I’m wondering if that nice piece of cake had a layer of pink rhubarb. It looks delicious.

It’s an almond slice, Carol, with raspberry jam. And very delicious 😃

Well, here I am, North Riding born and bred, and I have no idea where Lealholm is. Google maps next stop….

Almost the last turn off on the Whitby road, signed Grosmont, or down through Castleton. It’s a lovely little spot 🙂 🙂

Shame! The little tea shop on the green is excellent, sheep wander about and there are stepping stones. 🙂 🙂 And a Duck Race too.

Crazy faces Jo. They look brilliant as does the almond slice. Who can resist one of those on a day out?
LikeLike
There were about six of those faces, Jonno, and I was quite taken with them. 🙂 🙂 And Mick was limping so he needed an excuse to sit down.

Certainly in the pink, but I have my doubts about the terracotta wall planters. I suppose in a certain light they can be pink? But glad to hear that you are in the pink, and entertaining us all with your walks.

I was stretching it a bit but they do have a bit of a rosy glow? I liked them too much to leave them out, anyway, Mari 🙂 🙂

Excellent pinkness all round, Jo, but the almond slice looks specially delish.

I’m cutting it into eighths, Tish. I should have had the foresight to buy more. 😦 😦

Tut! Not sure that’s at all enough for greedy me.

A perfect almond slice there Jo. Don’t mind joining you for one of those. And who can resist a garden called ‘Poet’s Cottage’ – I still want to buy the rose ‘The Poet’s Wife’ entirely based on the name! Still having technical problems so my blog visits may be short and sweet this weekend. I may be ordering a new laptop very shortly!

It’s a surprise to see you here! You must have had some success with the laptop. 🙂 🙂 Spent most of the afternoon in the garden. Been a lovely day. Very cross to have missed Rafa yesterday though. I cannot believe we don’t have TV coverage of the US Open but they can watch it elsewhere in Europe. Marie emailed me from Portugal to say what a great match it was. 😦

I thought you had satellite TV given all the tennis you watch that isn’t on terrestrial channels. Envy you the sun. Hard pressed to even see the fence today! Laptop still churning away, but I managed to copy the pink images into WP. Luckily I had edited some photos last week ready for the event!

And the first of Autumn here, Mabel 🙂 🙂 Much to enjoy, either way! Temporarily worn out from zumba and Mick is recovering from gout so more hobbling than walking going on. 😦

I was quite taken with the ‘old lad’ planters, Sue. And the lady of the house had 20 chickens, wandering about! 🙂 🙂

Those chickens are definitely looking health and ‘in the pink’ to me, and I was ‘tickled pink’ by your first shot, and then just look at how much pink there is. You’ve gone for the bonus and get a ‘pink star’, the cake of course is extra delicious pink topping xxxxxx

She has 20 chickens she regards as her ‘family’! And a very complacent cat I didn’t include here. It’s a lovely little spot, with tea rooms and stepping stones nearby. Ideal for a person with gout! 😦

hee hee!! Glad it is good for a certain person.
I’d love to have chickens but we are struggling as it is to decide where Septimus is going this year for his winter sojourn!
