The nicest rooftop bar I know!
Last Saturday I was saying a fond farewell to Poland in the rooftop restaurant at Hotel Pod Wawelem, Kraków’. I can highly recommend it, both for the views and the hot apple szarltotka with icecream. You’ll have to wait for that photo and the accompanying walk because this is all about Becky’s Roof Squares. And, of course, to wish you happy Saturday in Six Words (or more).
Apologies to both ladies for the links, as I’ve scheduled this post, while I’m enjoying the high life in Nottingham.

Mm, yes, great place for a chilled white I think!

You do gad about don’t you? Kraków to Nottingham. Such a glamorous place. I know, it’s all about the people. Not often you find me complaining about flowers, but that pot does get in the way of what looks to be a good view. Hope you are having a grand time in Notts.

I’m waiting to see the picture of a szartotlka! Am assuming this is the Polish version of apple pie.

Thanks, Jo, for this series about Poland. That country has always been on our bucket list, as Mary is half Polish in her ancestry. Now your posts have made going there some day even more interersing.
Have a great weekend,

I was here at breakfast time, but then got distracted looking at this hotel’s website. I confused trying to work out the cost, then completely forgot that I was here but hadn’t commented, where are my marbles???
Anyway, I’d be very happy sitting there with apple cake and a little something. I really wish I’d been in Warsaw long enough for a trip on the river xx

There’s a promising cocktail venture called Alchemist I’ve been promised a visit to. It’s in a rather wonderful old building and I doubt I’d be allowed near the roof 🙂 🙂

Thanks, Tish, darlin! I’m limping along on my daughter’s computer. Not my favourite mode of transport but it does the job while they have a lie in and I wait for the sun to shine. 🙂 🙂 Happy Saturday, hon!
