Still in an English country garden
The warm spell has left us for a little while, but I have the loveliest memories of my visit to Thorp Perrow Arboretum. I had too many photos to share in just one post, so I thought I’d treat my Saturday readers to some sunshine too.
The lake meanders off into a stream here, skirting a couple of islets as it goes, and creating wonderful reflections.
What do you think? I make no apologies for a second post. It was glorious! There’s some great food on offer at Debbie’s place this weekend. Pop over with your Six Words, and have a happy time!

A very beautiful area. Green and rain go hand-in-hand. My corner of the world has entered the dry season. In the next couple of weeks the hills will be “golden”.

They do, of course, and we are all so relieved here when the sun shines and this bursts forth, Patrick. 🙂 🙂 Almost worth the wait.

You have outdone yourself on the photography here Jo. The reflections on I am amazed that you shot those on a Canon Digital IXUS 9515. One of these days, I am going to make my way to you and have you teach me a few landscape photography tricks. I think it is more than just being at the right place at the right time.

I’d love to have you share the view with me Lisa, but I don’t have any technical knowledge to share, sadly. I do enjoy having your company though. 🙂 🙂

Technical knowledge is the easy bit. It’s your artistic eye that I aim to emulate ❤️

3 would be stretching it a bit, Ann, but it really was fabulous. The sun is around today but much cooler and our lawn is covered with white blossom from next door’s generous apple tree. 🙂 🙂

So much pink! Love the tree reflections and this looks like a garden I could spend an hour or two in. With you by my side, naturally. Oh, if only we didn’t live so far apart. And it will be even further before the year’s end. I have a spring garden to share too, a little different to yours though 😀
Hope the Saturday sun is shining Jo xx

The sun is not so enthusiastic today, Jude, but yes, I think you’d like this garden. Shame cos I could do with a sit in the sunshine. Maybe I’ll watch tennis. On the bus back from zumba so I’ll pop over to yours in a bit xx

Ahh…there’s always a bit of me that’s sad as the blossom falls, the ground pretty but it hearkens the end of quiet spring!

Need to sow the runner beans and do some compost gathering – so not too strenuous. Have a great weekend both.
