Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?
This is how Christmas looks in my part of the world. Darkness and Light. And a few Square skies. How about you? However you spend it, I hope that your Christmas is full of love. And maybe just a little magic? Thanks, Tom!
Now, off you go to Debbie’s world, for a little upside down skiing. And don’t forget to take Six Words with you!

It sure looks Christmasy, Jo.
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you,
Piut

Thanks a lot, Pit! I’ve just had a brisk walk round our marina to check the Santa hadn’t blown away, and all appears well. 🙂 🙂 Love to you and Mary!

It’s a bit breezy on the river at York, Andrew. 🙂 🙂 I did find it amusing, though. And to you, and yours! Have they worn you out and gone home?

I reckon you’d been on the sherry for that first photo Jo! And no, it’s definitely not me. Strictly coffee so far today 🙂
You really are a big kid at heart aren’t you? Full of twinkly stars and fairy lights all a glitter. I’m sure you can’t wait to be in Leeds on Monday, though I think the man himself may have already been and gone. Wishing you everything you wish for yourself in 2018 xxx

I might have had a teeny glass of wine at that stage of things, Jude. It was actually end of November, at my first Christmas lunch. It was a bit windy and the blow up Santa was wobbling. That’s my excuse. 🙂 🙂 Funnily enough I was going to use ‘wishing you all you wish yourself’ for my 6 words. Mam often used to say it. Merry Christmas darlin! I included our Christmas tree for Becky. I sometimes do requests 🙂

Sherry? Gin? (no I know you don’t like gin), port? Prosecco? Champagne? red wine? white wine? Italian lager? Baileys? Single malt? Tequila? And even a drop of Cassis I believe. What’s your tipple then?

I do have a weakness for Baileys, con gelo 🙂 🙂 But port would be rather nice, if you had just a small slice of Christmas cake?

Ah, now, well, unfortunately you’ll have to provide your own Christmas cake. Unless you wait until they are being offered at half price…

I can be patient when I have to. 🙂 I never buy cake for Christmas- just New Year. Just had a swift blow around the marina. Another fabulous sunset, and Santa was still there. 🙂 Got to go and cook tea. Mick’ll be back from the match shortly. Catch you later.

Another square sky then?

I am this morning, Sue. Zumba wasn’t on so I did the last bit of food shopping and added some festive flowers and a few touches around the hearth. Beaming smuggly now. 🙂 🙂 Mick’s at the match later, poor chap, and the sun’s shining away so I might have a wander round the marina. Check Santa hasn’t blown away. 🙂 Hugs right back to you, darlin.

And even the ship has Santa lights – brilliant. Jo, these capture the season so well and the lights against the darkness bring the welcome and much needed lift! We celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve with a special family party starting late afternoon, sumptuous meal and then when the children were little Father Christmas would arrive!!!! With my son you could even hear the reindeers bells (some poor sod sent out into the cold). Wishing you a very special Christmas, Jo…it’s been another great year of meeting here on WP with you. Hugs xxx ❤️😀🎄

Like my Polish family! 🙂 🙂 We have an invitation to join them in Norfolk for New Year. I just need to persuade my husband. 🙂 I know you will have a wonderful time together, and I too have very much enjoyed your company.

Exactly! My sister in law (husband’s side of the family) is Polish and they celebrate then too. They have the most amazing parties when she and her brothers will burst into song! New Year should be fantastic and hope you get a chance to go.
